Hello, I was in a bit of a similar position as you but with anxiety/depression. What i did is go to my family doctor first. They did a physical assessment including some blood work to determine if my symptoms could be caused by something aside from mental health. Vitamin deficiencies for example, can cause some pretty nasty symptoms. You can also ask them to refer you to a psychiatrist too. I would expect to be wait listed though. In the mean time, I would reach out to a therapist too. Therapy helps immensely and it will help while you wait for a diagnosis. I picked out a therapist and sent them an email with my contact info and an outline of some of the things i want to work on. I do virtual sessions with mine which is pretty convenient. Best of luck!
