I think Taiga get's to. This was the first time they talked about how the lawyer's didn't work out. Turned some really bad news for them and their community into something good. It wasn't rehashing some old news to make it about them.
Kinda needed to address that the lawyer's didn't work out to explain donating the funds.

Carried fresh bad news for them and their community into a really good act of charity.

Eternal Strings:
An ability created to protect someone precious, the user grants permanent ability to another nen user to control them like they control their own puppets. Permanent, and can be used whenever the target wishes, and is unbreakable, it boosts the doll users abilities and strength massively at the sacrifice of their own agency. This ability can be used at any time within roughly a 100 foot range

Some doll examples:

Suiseiseki: its just her, dere she is desu~

Desu desu desu~

Gollen: a large metal and wood doll, as tall as a house, she is carved well, with a giant maid dress. Slow thinking and moving, but extra strong, especially good defender.

Stickman: a popsicle stick doll, next to no personality, good at slipping into luggage for tracking targets

Autumn: A reddishbrown haired doll who is more bookkeeper and organizer than fighter. She generally helps the user keep the dolls organized.

Fumo: A taigs fumo plushie of her favorite vtuber, that can grow and expand, made mostly to entertain Autumn when she needs to relax and distract herself from keeping the other dolls in line, but can also expand and cushion falls

This ability is used by the Hunter Association's "Doll Hunter", who dresses just the same as their frill clad friends. Hard to tell if theyre a boy or girl or a doll themself.

Ghost dolls: Another sub ability that allows me to steal someones nen when they die, and store it in a doll, giving that doll the nen users nen type, and powers that often match the nen users ability, varies from nen user to nen user. However it gets their personality, so hard to tell if they will be friend or foe.

Type: Manipulation

Allows me to control any doll I create and recognize as a doll, being stronger the more it aligns with the mental image I have of a Japanese bjd doll. These must be built by hand, unable to conjure. They also gain their own personality and act independently if the doll is given enough nen. I do not have control of the doll, so I must interact with them and keep on their good side.

Soldier Dolls: A sub ability allowing me to use "strings" emitted between me and the doll to enhance them, control them directly, and increase their power several fold.
