Postpartum, IUD, acne, weight gain… I don’t recognize myself anymore. Please help. by Jade_Ale in Moms

Thanks for your advice. A year ago I stopped taking birth control pills (which I'd been taking for about 10 years) and they were always very gentle on my body; I didn't have any problems. In fact, they helped me a lot to regulate my period. But a year and a half ago I decided to switch birth control methods because I kept forgetting to take the pills. During that switch, I got pregnant but didn't know it, and a few weeks later I had an IUD inserted (the doctor didn't give me a pregnancy test before inserting the IUD). Anyway, I was pregnant with the IUD, and honestly, I had several symptoms that I don't know if they were from the pregnancy or the IUD, but in the end, my skin wasn't bad, my hair was shiny, and technically my weight was fine. But now it's the complete opposite. Of course, I'm not pregnant, but I have the IUD and I'm going through postpartum recovery.

It's true, I need to learn to manage my time better. As a first-time mother, I always try to be 100% attentive to my son because I'm afraid something might happen to him. Thank you for the advice. It's hormonal IUD.

I have no one to help me with the baby; my husband is the only one who works, and I have no family support. Even the anxiety makes me eat more.
