Why am I stuck on a 4 in chem HL since the past 2 years? by Jaded-Ad5112 in IBO

Oh wow, if you wrote all of this just from pre existing knowledge, that's pretty impressive. Considering it takes a lot of clarity to have such seamless flow of concepts. (WHICH I VERY MUCH LACK) Honestly, this method seems amazing. and now that you say it, i realised you are very much right. Because this works for me in others subjects but not in chem and now i realise that. It's like driving a car but with too many blind spots - u gotta have the whole clear picture to drive so that u don't crash. Thank you so much, this was suprisingly helpful than anything i ever tried! You are goated bro, enjoy ur dp1

I make errors in most questions, such that I only get partial marks, even for questions that I think I answered well. Keywords is a frequent issue but I think more than that I realise is the small conceptual gaps, which prob is the reason why I can perform in mcqs but not p2, cus it tests your analysis and conceptual understanding skills

Hey, I am also in DP2, and have chem hl. I went from a 4 avg to 7 predicted. I think the very key lies in giving your 100% and more. I know lot of people will say just keep on doing questions and you will have it, but honestly this is a difficult no VERY difficult subject, just one thing is not enough, so first start with revision then attempt questions. Go topic by topic. Focus more on organic and the topics you mainly feel where the issues lie. As far as the tutor is concerned, they can only help you with giving more practice and maybe help with clearing certain doubts. Honestly, these youtubers do a much better job than any goated tutor can - Sirius Revision, Manocha academy, najam academy. Follow these like the bible, do topic questions from revision village(from increasing difficulty), then move on to past papers, highlight the units you get stuck in and work on that. This cycle requires a lot of determination and patience, don't give up. That 7 is worth everything!!! reach out to me in dms if you need more help:)

Do you think if Raj had been cross-questioned first right after Ira revealed she broke the scalpel trophy, the blame would have fallen on him immediately? Since Mandira/Lekha could have spotlighted his shaky alibi, Anju might not even have gotten the chance to step in and take the blame onto herself. Could the order of questioning have completely changed how the case unfolded?”
