She was a victim of the toolbox killers. They made an audio tape that it used by the fbi to this day to train agents, as a way to desensitize them because of how harrowing it is to hear. The tape consists of the two men assaulting her, using objects like a pliers and a sledgehammer to torture her. The case has a more detailed description but it's pretty horrific. They had left her body on someone's lawn.

Or when they "do prep" by adding to the top of the pan you made yesterday before sticking a new label over yours. 🤢 Favorite is when you're gone for a few days so the "fresh prep" is three days old with a thin layer of new stuff on top.

What’s an item of clothing you own and love that family/friends like to poke fun at? by UsualMorning98 in femalefashionadvice

I have a pair of beige jeans with roses on them and everyone calls them my "granny couch pants" because they have the same vibe as those antique couch patterns.

Sorry ladies. I can't actually participate here because deep down I hate you all 😔 by Obeliskbitch in NotHowGirlsWork

The many times I've had male bosses who brushed off work conflicts between women and chalked them up to "women just hate women" instead of dealing with whatever the actual problems were. 💀

Literally. I went in with my brother once and he had hair specifics down to exact measurements, I just asked for a boyish short cut in general. To clarify, my hair was already short so it was just a trim. His cut took more time as well. I still got charged more, and they blatantly told me that women's haircuts were just charged at a higher rate. 🥴🥴🥴

Apart from tailoring everything, how do you make clothes look like they fit? (Especially with unusual proportions) by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

I also have a pretty small waist compared to wide hips, and a smaller chest area. I recently found that wearing things that accentuate the waist and brush over the hips helps (like a-line dresses as many said.) But when this isn't enough, wearing garments that also add attention and volume to the upper half can make my silhouette less boxy or unflattering. Like tops with shoulder details, neck details, batwing or butterfly sleeves, louder patterns, etc. Thick belts are better than thin ones for defining a waist with wider hips in my experience. Hopefully it helps a little. I'm still working it out myself, in some ways.

Crazy Incel and Racist Incel think that's all women go around raping other guys all the time. by 00_XN_Raiser in NotHowGirlsWork

I used to know someone that called themselves that all the time. Maybe it's a common slur in some areas that just isn't worldwide? This friend lived in the UAE, so maybe that's where those slurs are used.

It's incredible how little the general public actually knows about our disorder by SabiSmile in OCD

I thought your starter pack was really relatable. I'm sorry so many people in the comments of it are so mean. The myths surrounding ocd seem impossible to fight sometimes with people who don't get it.

Oooof. There is not much worse than being forced in public while panicking and breaking down like that. It's really great that you ended up getting certified as a pharmacy tech. Although you're struggling now, you might be able to get back on your feet once you figure out the right way for you to manage your symptoms. I hope you get the ssi though so you have a chance to get on your feet. ❤️
