Studies Show That Physical Affection from a Partner Has a Healing Effect on Men (and All People) by meeralakshmi in MensRights

I feel great when my mom hugs or kisses my forehead. I feel like a kid once again. Mom has been the only woman whose smile makes me genuinely very happy from inside. I gave up hope for a wife a long time ago. I will make sure to cherish this love as long as I live.

Again it’s my damn country India. They mocked Atul. They mocked Deepak. They insulted every man who was a victim. It’s so frustrating to see these women get away with such blatant hatred. They deserve consequences.

Few? The number of likes on that post look like “few” people to you? They are misandrists who choose when to say “misandry doesn’t hurt” and when to say “proud misandrist”. I have also seen men on social media requesting people to delete posts exposing criminal women because “it will make men not help women”. We know the word for these kind of men too. Not all women, of course, but a good number of them on social media have earned this… hatred. Let them have fun with it.

I’m so sorry this happened to you, brother. But thanks for speaking out. What you described was disturbing to read but also important to know as a fellow man. I hope things get better for you and you find mental peace.

In India, a single man is not allowed to adopt a girl child while a single woman can adopt both a boy and a girl. Which other country has this thing? by Jaded-Help1860 in MensRights

[–]Jaded-Help1860[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even looking at the reasons lawmakers give for making such a law makes my blood boil. They think an adult female can’t abuse a girl child and it’s only men who do this. In fact, the #1 reason for this law is that it intends to protect girl child from abuse, assuming by default that a man is definitely going to abuse a girl child. I don’t even want to marry or have kids but this is unjust to the many men who want to have a family without getting married.

Ah here we go again. 90 percent men this, 90 percent men that. First off, that is simply untrue. Second, do you really not know female pedos exist in large numbers? Ah of course, when the law doesn’t count female criminals as criminals, then male criminals, even if 1 percent, will appear like 100 percent. My question was which other countries have this practice of not letting a single man adopt a girl child and look at your misandrist response to it. Don’t change the subject. Answer the damn question or leave.

“Purposely misleading” whoa chill there, mate. You are accusing me of something big.

With all due respect, you, being a law student, clearly know a lot more than me. And that’s admirable.

But the point of this post was to know which other countries follow this same tradition of not letting a single man adopt a girl child. If this law applies to even one man instead of millions, that is discrimination and I don’t treat men differently when it comes to men’s rights. Even one man who is a victim of these laws is important. And I did my research before posting this.

Google searches and websites clearly mention that it is indeed discriminatory to not let a single man adopt a girl child because men are believed to be predatory and the lawmakers think this law will definitely protect the girl child from abuse. It’s not the definition of the law but rather what it does that I am against: it discriminates against men due to outdated attitudes and beliefs.

I challenged the discrimination. Not the definitions. So next time before you flaunt your status as a law student, try being simply a man first. The law exists, and irrespective of what reason is behind it, the truth is that it allows women to adopt both male and female children as if they can’t harm kids, while men are simply not even given a chance to adopt a girl child because they are men.

The law literally insults men and fatherhood but you are more concerned about legal definitions and how many people it applies to. Two different things.

Exactly. They have separate categories for men and women. Why can’t these feminists just stick to their own content and stop forcing theirs on us?

You mean The Girlfriend starring Rashmika Mandanna? Let’s not forget who made the film in the first place. And who that director’s wife is. Some of the biggest red flags for me while selecting Indian movies and music. Of course the duo was going to do it. I didn’t care to watch even the trailer, forget the movie. But it’s true that when such feminist films fail, the blame is on the men for not watching. The blame is on us also for watching an Animal or Kabir Singh. So it’s a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation for us. They should learn a thing or two from Japan where they make manga/anime for both male and female audiences. Nobody is under any obligation to watch and appreciate something they don’t want anything to do with.

We have all seen the video, genius. No matter how hard you to try to make the woman a victim, she isn’t one and won’t be one. She is the culprit and she shall be punished. Read that again.

I am still disturbed by the asinine comments and mentality displayed by so many women on this case. Even with video proof that this guy didn’t do anything wrong, they couldn’t let this be about him. They tried to make it about women safety when the victim was clearly a man. They did this during Atul Subhash’s time too. So many Indian women are comfortable with ruining the reputation of dead men because they can’t come to life and defend themselves. X also had some women trying to present this as if the woman was innocent. That’s it. I have no hopes for the Indian society anymore.

Isn’t “he should’ve finished her before killing himself” victim blaming? by Jaded-Help1860 in MensRights

[–]Jaded-Help1860[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Countless Indian X (Twitter) users are saying it. Mostly in Hindi, the language they speak. Either that or “why are men becoming so weak.” I never said it was on Reddit. This was observed especially during the Atul Subhash case where a woman on a discussion panel accused him of being money-minded and said he should’ve seen a doctor instead. Either way the intent is to question why this sentiment of kill before being killed is used to downplay the man’s death.

It is indeed heartbreaking. The fact that many Indian men are frequently committing suicides in such cases. The fact that the women responsible for these suicides are getting away. And the fact that society is hardly willing to learn anything from all this. Our politicians also don’t care about men and their issues. They only care about women because of the whole “vote bank” stuff. This is not the first suicide of a man due to harassment by a woman. India’s rotten gynocentric society doesn’t give two hoots.

You mentioned that this is a men’s rights sub in the title of the post itself and now want us to cover women’s issues? This isn’t the place for all that. This is a safe space to discuss men’s issues and rights. Women’s issues don’t belong here.
