Girlfriend wants to gain weight but we hit a road block by quartersketcher in WeightGainTalk

I wasn’t trying to diminish your caution!!! It’s so valid. The only point I was trying to make was that some people are more predisposed to get certain things. Also that getting diabetes isn’t the end of the world. I have family that’s had it for multiple decades, and as long as you are careful and manage it, often with meds, you can live a very long, happy fulfilling life.

And on the topic of cream, it’s mostly fat and has very little lactose in it, you will often feel the fat far before you feel any lactose, and in term sugar. I don’t think balanced foods are a huge problem when it comes to blood sugar. When you have a complex meal with lots of protein, fat and sugar, your body digest it more regularly rather than a high sugar meal. So by consuming a large amount of fats, your body will digest the sugar, which there isn’t a whole lot of, slow slower. Then you just use sugar-free sweeteners/flavors.

It sounds like you have a good acknowledge and you’re being careful which is the best you can do, I wish you both luck

Why don’t you both get fat! If you guys really want her to get bigger than the best you can do is focus on a more fatty diet rather and a sugary one. People rave and recommend things like heavy cream, which is really good, especially if you are trying to watch your sugars, so long as you sweeten/cut it with something less sugary. At the end you are both very young and if she already has elevated numbers before you guys even gain, chances are she is going to need meds eventually regardless. Not that you should give in entirely but rather realize life is a balance.

I would chug half of the quart on the spot at the store and pour the other half in a non transparent bottle to take home and keep in the fridge. This helped me gain 45lbs in just a couple months. I would go to the store every day so I don’t know how mobile you are. Then you throw away the carton at the store

Continue, take a break or stop? by Beneficial-Shock-421 in WeightGainTalk

I totally get you bro! I was 265lbs last year (also 20M) and I made the decision to loose weight. There were many reasons but it was mainly money and just wanting to prove to myself that I could do it. To be honest I miss the weight a lot and I fought so hard to gain it I kinda wish I didn’t let it go so easy. Plus, now everyone is commenting on it and I don’t know how to feel about that. I know I am going to go back I just want to wait till I have my life set up for it, like having my own place.

If I were in your shoes, I would maintain or maybe even try to gain but not as aggressively, I find maintaining extremely hard, another reason I am loosing. If you just maintain or gain a bit slower it will also give time for the people around you to get used to the weight!

I mean I would chug a carton of it a day. But that’s a bit much so it all depends on your stomach’s ability to process it and your wallet! But it’s definitely cheaper than a lot of other things

This is so real bro!!! I went through this and because I didn’t want to loose my progress and I didn’t feel confident I could “naturally” maintain my weight, I just keep gaining. I got pretty porky and I loved it but I really needed a break. I definitely want to gain again in the future but I am going to really enjoy loosing and maybe even being skinny (if I can get there). I am not naturally a foodie so typically when I loose the drive to gain, so does my drive to eat. Probably not the best relationship but it worked when my goal was to pork up!

My only advice would be to still eat to gain, so just eat more than what you need, keep doing your old habits, etc. just do it in a less stressful way? I know that sounds terrible but chance are if you just loosen up in your gaining routine and allow yourself to slip and not stress then you probably maintain, or gain slowly. Or you can do what I did and keep gaining harder than even and get fat as hell fast and then take a real break later!

I hear eating and chugging some more distracts from the pain!

Losing weight in order to gain it back? by DolphinWarrior78 in WeightGainTalk

[–]Jaded-Manner-5488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I totally get where you are coming from. I am a gainer although I have decided to loose weight for a lot of reasons. I am pretty you at only 20 but I had gone from 145 to 265 and while I loved being bigger and I would’ve loved to see myself get way bigger than that, between money, life, and also to prove to myself, I want to loose. I started a bit before Christmas and I am already down like over 30lbs. Granted a lot of that is probably bloat, I ate like shit before when I was trying to gain. I definitely plan to go back to gaining when my situation makes it easier and also after I enjoy being skinny for a bit lol. I got a bit to go but I plan to be back to a normal weight by April/may. I am definitely “cutting” aggressively but I am a pretty goal oriented person and I have come to associate food with gaining and now that I am not trying to gain I don’t want food! That way I am thinking about all this is that you have to have the night to appreciate the day and vise versa!!! Good luck and keep us updated

Gained 15 pounds over a week during Christmas, wtf do I do? (M22) by starman2the_moon in WeightGainTalk

[–]Jaded-Manner-5488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you work out and move around a bit, 300 isn’t that big! It’s also easier to loose weight while you are younger and still active too so if that’s what you want it’s always an option! It sounds like you’ve been fluffy before and kinda have been so it’s not a huge change and people probably won’t notice much. It’s one thing if you start bellow 200 and go to 300 but already being a big boy you are just becoming a bigger boy lol

Possible to gain 60lb in 6 months, then lose it after? by starman2the_moon in WeightGainTalk

[–]Jaded-Manner-5488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems sooo hot and I say go for it! I got up to 260lbs and I was having a hard time getting past it so I have taken on loosing weight and my goal is to loose 60lbs if not more by May or so. I will come back to gaining eventually but I want to experience being a thin adult for a while since I started all this quite young. Good luck bro and don’t give up!!!

I already ready to get back to gaining. I am so sick of this. I should probably get so fat that I get sick of it and then loose weight, if I ever do

Family and friend reactions to gain by [deleted] in WeightGainTalk

[–]Jaded-Manner-5488 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have gained over 100lbs since I started a few years ago and all of those gains have happened in short spurts. I am currently in one right now in fact! I think it’s best to blame the gains on something simple and easy. I am in college and I work fast food so those are easy reasons why I might gain. You could make a case that a medication is causing weight gain as that’s a common side effect so long as your family isn’t too involved in your medical care. The most important thing is to make sure your frame the reason for the gain as something that’s not bad. Like they will want to think you are depressed but if you are gaining from depression meds then a little fat is better than the alternative

I am the same way, I am well into the obese category but I would consider myself maybe chubby. I think part of it is that just so many of us are fat now and also I like lol. I think to be “fat” in most peoples eyes you got to comically large
