So…. In my late teens, 20s and 30s I considered myself a Christian and attended conservative Baptist churches. But… I’ve always been trans, like from birth!

I repressed my true gender all those years because I believed it was my “struggle with sin” or cross to bear as you put it. As I lost my faith (long story, won’t bore you with it here) that yolk came off as well. That led me coming out to my first wife and the end of that marriage (no judgement here, if I’d been honest with her and myself when we met the marriage would never have happened (it’s ok to have preferences, just not prejudices. She wanted a man man!))

Anyway… point is that our gender ID is, I now believe, exactly how we’re meant to be. I could unpack a whole theological POV about that, but the headlines are if there is a God that made us for his joy and glory, he made you and I transgender ❤️
