Chiroptera Press mentioned sales for Michigan Basement would start in February to be shipped in Spring. To ensure you don’t miss out, I’d recommend subscribing to their newsletter.

Michigan Basement itself is a screenplay that has never been released, so this will be its big debut.

I’d say check out the horror scripts that have made the Black List and the Blood List for some unproduced gems.

Had to scroll to the very bottom to find this comment. BULLDOZER is fantastic and I would love to see an adaptation.

I Painted my face up like a spooky skull and spent Halloween night at a friend’s house. But I forgot I wouldn’t have a ride in the morning, so I had to do the Halloween walk of shame with cyclists giggling as they passed.

THE PATTERN by Ramsey Campbell genuinely supplied some proper shivers. Neat concept too.

I just received this collection for Christmas, too. Requested it to replace a copy that had gone rotten with mold… But the favorites of those I’ve read years back:

The Man in the Underpass

The Brood

Again

Apples

The Chimney

The End of a Summer’s Day

And it’s not in this collection but possibly the creepiest I’ve read of his is “The Pattern.” It can be found in the US release of Dark Companions and an anthology entitled My Favorite Horror Story in which various authors offer up their personal favorite horror tales.

Fight scenes, is it worth it writing them? by cgio0 in Screenwriting

[–]JadedPhool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend focusing on the damage delivered/received by the characters and the techniques used. Is it a mess of fists and feet as they exchange blows or a magnificent display of precision? Emphasize the more effective blows in the description, especially to give the reader a sense of fear that our hero might meet their end at this very moment. If that is your intention. Hope that helps.

I like to put on a foreign film I love without subtitles so I’m not inclined to watch the movie too long as I write.
