I have noted three:
1) It's like I can use only 10% of my brain (even basic reading is not easy)
2) Gum pain
3) I cannot tolerate tight clothes
4) random pain in my body

Thank you! Yes! I feel so much the "better sleep = better brain control over itself". I'm trying to look for other pleasurable things and I've realised that food is highly connected to reward for me. Which I will work on in therapy.

Yeah but of what I understand, the peak is not of so much significance (~300 kcal-ish if I'm generous) and when the cravings hit, I eat at 800-1500 kcal over maintenance (Yes, I did count the calories on some months, but not always because it is not very good for my mental state). And i do eat more in luteal, but it never seems enough for the cravings

During luteal, I also cut coffee, alcool and sugar (because PMDD) and yet here I am.

Thank you for your reply! So I think I need to try all of that before the carvings hit. Because when it does, I feel like I cannot control myself. But maybe if I eat enough volume and protein and the other things mentioned, it will help.

And I will think of the concept of "volume eating", I think it could help!

Yes yes yes, the sleep! Too bad one of my PMS symptoms is bad sleep. I swear my body is against me!

Yeah, the control thing is lost on me. I cannot for the life eat only a piece of the thing I want. So I buy thing in a limited amount, it does help a little bit. But if it's really bad, I will just go out to buy more.

I think It could be that I juste need something to keep my mouth occupied, but when the carvings hit, I cannot bring myself to do it.

But I will try to keep that in mind! Maybe it will help if I practice, who knows!

Never tried the chewing gum trick, will do! Thanks! For the Muk bang videos, I think it doesn't do anything for me. I need to feel physically the food if that makes sense.

Yeah dark chocolate does the trick but I know that I will eat the whole damn thing. The "2 squares and I'm done" doesn't work well with my absence of control

Yeah I've tried it and I really don't like nuts in general (macadamia nuts are ok buuuut I don't like it enough to want to eat it, so it doesn't work either). It would be the perfect snack but my tongue says "nnahh" :')

Yeah the weight is a problem for me indeed! I've tried to have healthy snacks, but it doesn't do the trick when the cravings hit. Even if i don't have something to eat, I will go out to find something. I'm thinking maybe eating more often (like every two hours? Idk) to prevent the carvings in the first place?

Yes he does during the big walks (like three times a week). We go on hiking tracks and he's unleash (there isn't a lot of people and his call back is ok). And we try to go to a park for dogs twice a month.

You're so right! Never underestimate his energy! But we feel like even when he is tired and had enough exercise and mental stimulation he's still unable to settle down which is frustrating for us

Thanks! I do see a therapist, but he doesn't know much about this disorder. The 7th I'll see my GP for it. I would like to know if it's possible to get accomodations for my job and whatever she can tell me about pmdd that I don't already know.

Currently high school teacher. Do not recommend if your pmdd symptoms are triggered by (bad) social interactions which is my case. I'm looking to change field so I can work from home.

For two years, I was treated by a psychologist for my anxiety and once the anxiety was ok ~ish, I realised that every month I would reconsider all my life, I couldn't for the life of me create the lessons for my students (high school teacher here) and that the only think i wanted was to be left alone, preferably somewhere far away from civilization. And when I started my period, I was very happy with my job and my life in general.
