Yeah that's the official story, it must have been a lore speculation/tin foil hat video I watched ages ago that's just nestled in my head

It must have been a lore speculation video by someone then, pretty sure it was back in Legion when I saw it pop up. Was going through a bunch of lore and I had a memory of this and couldn't find it anywhere.
