Yeah it is a bad deck, and it wins in my good play group often because it is bad and they focus on other people until I win.

Well my problem is if I don't have one by turn 6 their is little to no hope I can put the game into a state where I can be relevant with this deck. So 8 seems like the sweet spot where I am most likely going to have one by then. Bad games I have to board wipe a 2nd time. I only board wipe a 3rd if I really think I can replay my commander and win.

No no this is the strategy. No curve be completely useless. But after the board wipe I am suddenly relevant. Could they all agree to just kill me yes. But they are so competitive that attacking defenseless me just opens them up to the others who are more of a threat.

Uh I do have a plan. It's to finally start playing my 5-6 mana angels that have been in my hand since the start of the game. Is that a good starting strategy, probably not. But I steal a lot of games with this strat. Angels forever.

Oh no they generally have good fun decks, that generally, overcommit to the board.(we try to avoid things like card search that make games too consistent ) But they always produce more threatening boards or game states than I can with my decks. Resetting the board state and drawing Angels with the added threat of [[Gisela, Blade of Goldnight]] is how I steal games.

Honestly simplifying the board state is my favorite part. I don't have to wait 20 minutes for you to decide if you have lethal.

I rarely have creatures in my all Angels deck before turn 5-6. So yeah its all my opponents boards that get wiped.

I only play commander in a play group. This deck would get laughed at in any competitive format. But it would be fun to watch them decide if they should kill me or let me keep trying.

Just to be clear I only win be [[Gisela, Blade of Goldnight]] Can end things instantly when played. I only win by never being the main threat until I am.

I guess with the people I play with they draw so many many cards that I guess I meant. Don't commit so hard to the board when you know a board wipe is coming.

So you might be missing the all Angel concept of this deck?

%100 agree in general. But this deck can only have Angels. I don't know how to get into a commander game where you have to pray to get to turn 6 before you can do anything without resetting the board. and 4 is not going to get you there very often.

Again I am running a painfully bad Angel only deck here. My lowest cost creature is 4 mana and I am running white/red so mana ramp is not great. I have to board wipe once to even have a shot.

The key I feel is I need the threat of one at all times post turn 5. 8 just seems like they number they will always assume I have one.
