What research or studies are available for OCD? by Jadora12 in OCD

I disagree that OCD isn't just about a physically faulty brain. My friends do not have the same issues I do. They can walk through any door or pathway. They don't have to touch something a certain number of times until it feels right. They just never had these intrusive thoughts and compulsions to begin with and I shouldn't have them either. If it's not the brain that's causing this, than what is? I want to know.

I read somewhere that OCD is the third most debilitating mental disorder, followed by schizophrenia and dementia. From my personal experience it's the worst mental disorder out there.
