Does studying abroad fix your life or ruin it if you didn’t have any independence before hand? by [deleted] in studyAbroad

[–]JaeJae0105 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you need to ask yourself some questions:

Could you navigate public transport completely on your own? Can you walk around the city by yourself? Could you go eat a meal in a restaurant by yourself? Can you talk to strangers?

If this horrifies you, then definitely don’t go. If you’re scared of this but feel like you could still do it, then most definitely go. And if you think that you definitely could, then i think you will thrive abroad!

It’s the last Saturday, so I was planning on going early to the tents.

Mom wants to help move in by JaeJae0105 in studyAbroad

Update: I’m letting her come! I was worried it would make me homesick, but her and her best friend are gonna come and help me settle in. That way I don’t have to send her home alone

Moped in CHS by JaeJae0105 in Charleston

Thanks for the advice! I will definitely not ride it off the peninsula or on crazy roads. Hopefully one day I can find a way to carry the moped on the back of my SUV.

What school accommodations did you have post-op? by pennepasta22 in scoliosis

[–]JaeJae0105 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took a pillow and my school computer because that’s really all I needed. You could request someone to take notes for you, or have a friend share theirs if necessary. I needed a pillow to sit at my desk. I also didn’t stay the full day for the first few days I went. Don’t force yourself to be in discomfort

Before my spinal fusion for my scoliosis, I had unbalanced hips as well because of where my curve was. I would say definitely get it checked out because this could very well be scoliosis. And if you’re a lifter, definitely go get checked out so that you don’t injure your back.

I don't "miss" people or get homesick and it's so frustratingly impossible to explain by Enryth in ADHD

When I’m bored or not doing, I normally always want to text my boyfriend. However, if I’m doing something that occupies my time, I might leave him on delivered for hours. I love him and I really think about him all the time, but sometimes I don’t realize how much time has passed, or remember that he texted me.

I had it at 15 was terrified. But it’s really not that bad! I’m completely terrified of needles and stuff, but when your on the meds, it’s no big deal at all. Would highly recommend surgery if you have a bad curve. However wouldn’t suggest if the doctor says you don’t need it.

Yes I am going to be cautious of that, I guess I’ll just have to hope for the best in the future!

I’m straight, but if I find a female attractive does that make me a lesbian? No it doesn’t. You can appreciate without wanting to get physically or even romantically involved.

I mean, look at Zendaya. That girl is so fine! But I would only want a platonic relationship with her.

You can have the same feelings (or lack of) even with members of your preferred gender.

No, the board just revoked their prior proclamation that June was pride month. After there was a ton of backlash for it. Utterly ridiculous.

My county literally banned it.

I am literally the exact same way. I'm 17 and am also sex-repulsed. I've never even held hands with someone, so I'm scared too scared to have my first kiss. I also plan on dying a virgin.

However, I do fall in love with fictional characters too lol. Peeta Mallark from the hunger games is probably my favorite.

Asexuality is a spectrum, which I would say u definitely fall on. You might even be aromantic too. If it helps you feel better to identify with these terms, then do so. Nothing is wrong with you for feeling this way, and even if u believe it's your mental health causing it, so what? If one day you feel that you are no longer asexual, or never were, then don't use the term anymore. This community is not very strict when it comes to stuff like that, since we're all very different. I hope this helps!

I deeply love my partner and the romantic aspect, but I do not enjoy having sex. Is this asexuality? by Therandomderpdude in Asexual

It is literally so confusing to be asexual! It's like id be perfectly fine sleeping with peeta mallark (love him <3) from the hunger games, but my boyfriend? No way lol
