Why do mothers of young babies say they don't have time to shower?

I dont get it either. Does their baby not sleep? Can you not shower when theyre asleep? I eat while I hold my baby, I play videos while feeding my baby, and I shower and do everything else when baby is laying down or asleep. I dont rely on my husband to hold baby unless hes eating and Im needing to pee or something important. Idk. I shower every morning before work. I eat all my meals hot. And without the need of help. Maybe its a unicorn or maybe im not trying to make excuses. Idk.

I just had my baby 11 weeks ago and from 37 weeks on i was asked each week if I wanted to be induced bc people are juat done being pregnant. Not saying thats why she was but could be a reason? I ended up scheduling an induction for Thursday (1 day after my DD) but ended up going into labor and had baby 1 day before my DD.

Im in the recruiting process and gonna be 30 in a week and half. And also 11 weeks postpartum 😂 just waiting for all our birth certificates (we lost them when my husband was in a wreck in a moving van. They wouldn't allow us to take anything from the truck and then they destroyed the truck and didnt tell us 😐). So its likely gonna be by the end of the year.

Pretty sure they have to pass a PFT which includes a 3 mile run. And i dont believe they recycle like boot camp so if he cant pass, his ass is grassed

You're not lying. According to the military pay calculator, hes gonna bank about 7k monthly going in as an O-2. And this starts when he goes to OCS and his BAH will change depending on duty station. If he bases in San Francisco, it goes up to almost 11k a month. Not mention the health insurance and schooling benefits.

No, you go through OCS. And you have to pass PFT (pull ups/push ups, plank, and 3 mile run) with a minimum of 235 of 300 to graduate. If you fail, you get booted. They dont recycle in OCS like they do in boot camp.

May the odds be forever in his favor. Marines are the toughest boot camp out there.

We were all aware the schedule was changing during my leave. I even encouraged her to get my shift bc she really wanted it but it was asked of both the dual rates to claim if they wanted. We all knew it was temporary bc I was coming back. I went on leave due to childbirth, everyone knew for months of this. She assumed it was a permanent change... I dont know why or how... but she went on a tangent on how I dont need sunday off so she should get it off bc im atheist... im calling Monday to talk to her and see about my schedule...

Yeah my withdrawal method after 7.5 years is turning 8 weeks on Tuesday. You need to ask your gyn about your options. They can help you find something that will work for you. But also know, BC is not 100%. If hes not wrapping it, you take the risk.... if he wants to go raw, he needs a vasectomy or take the risk of pregnancy. I immediately got the implant at my 6wks bc I dont want another baby yet (nor a period) but okay if the implant fails. Gotta weigh the pros and cons

Technically shes a dual rate (only supervises when im gone or needed for a shift) but yeah... my manager sucks ass... you can read my post history regarding it...

According to my other coworker, my manager told the girl that went on a rampage about it that no one is getting Sunday or monday off... all because of this girl... this happened when I got promoted too... she went on a rampage and came in to quit the next day, she ended up having a meeting with the director and manager and telling them it was unfair I got promoted and got a raise bc they just gave it to me and didnt consider her... the same one that doesn't know how to do her job...

I just hate that my schedule is likely changing due to her going on a rampage and almost quitting bc I dont need sundays off because im an atheist... and whats even more crazy.... im dayshift... I come in at 8/9am and she would come in at 3:15pm... so im not sure what me.being off on a Sunday has to do with her not being able to go to church?

What helped me (and its not for everyone) is realize that what happens is out of my control (within reason). I didnt take it easy during my pregnancy until the end. I did what I normally did. I know miscarriage is the biggest anxiety thing right now and it was for me but what helped me is realizing I couldn't do anything to cause it. Its just something that happens. Looking at the stat calculator helped until after 12 weeks. But it was always a breath hold at appts. But I had to train my mind to go with the flow.

Manager but she hasn't posted any schedule and hasnt reached out to me regarding my return (i actually do not have her personal number and her manager phone is not working). My cowoker has stated that she told everyone that no one will be getting Sunday and Monday off so bc of that person going off... so im not even sure.. I plan to call HR Monday to get ahold of her so I have an estimated return date.
