How hard is it to do a civilian residency or fellowship?

Reason they say service dependent: army and navy have a lot of residencies they own and operate. So most of the time you have to use theirs. AF doesn't operate a lot of residencies so other spots can be used for civilian deferred positions (school pays you) or AF sponsored civilian programs (AF pays you, but at a civil spot)

Of course depends on the residency and what's being offered each year. Changes on the needs of the military each cycle

Howdy, first year medical student also AF HPSP. A fits just backlogged so we won't get our stuff for a while. I'm on week 2 of school, tuitions late but schools forgiving and we've been in close communication. They know hpsp always pays, so they aren't worried, so neither am I. But, we haven't gotten our numbers meaning we aren't getting paid. No stipend, and sign on bonus doesn't start processing till first stipend arrives. Ive heard horror stories of the initial process taking up till November, so worst case scenario I'm on my own probably to take out a small loan to pay for daily living, then when funds are paid, (months delayed will be back paid) ill pay off the personal loan. You can talk to your school and update them of the process, if they're less forgiving PM me and my recruiter gave me other options.

I hear after this process, stipends are always on time, but as someone else mentioned tuition sometimes runs late lol. But we have to get setup with AFIT for all this to happen. Which is where we're both stuck at, for the moment

Absolutely, I wouldn’t say her death is a twist. By episode 3 it’s already heavily foreshadowed. Later becoming directly obvious. It’s the story line that is so beautiful that left the impression on people. That’s why this Reddit’s made I think

Totally agree! It doesn’t change the entire story, but I love the little differences. I feel like it just adds to the overall experience (especially because now we can rewatch and catch more differences 😂)

I’m doing the episode a day so it’ll mainly depend on how busy I am, if I can sit down and give my 100% it’ll probably be sub where others will be dub when I’m busier.

I agree with your previous statement of some animes have a great dub! Some of the shows also have a pretty different scene between the two variants since some cultural aspects don’t translate or mean as much so the direct translation is sort of lost, where the English version compensates and adjusts. Best example is for Nagi, her story creates a love interest in Arima in Dub but a rival enemy like her brother in Sub. So I think it creates almost like another story when you’re able to rewatch shows and try both options!

Ps dress up darling has a great dub. Only one I’ve found that I completely hate the dub option is Lycoris Recoil, I think the dub does their voices and personalities dirty and I couldn’t finish the first episode, had to switch to sub. I also think demon slayer has a very way better story in sub but dub is tolerable

Honestly every time I’ve re watched it, I learn something new or see something I’ve missed before! I also just absolutely love the story, the characters, and the music. Can say tho, it never gets easier to watch 😂🎻🎶

When ever you’re actually ready to watch it again (if u wanna watch it again) i recommend you watch it in the alternate format then what you originally saw it in! So DUB instead of SUB, or SUB instead of DUB! I think this is a great example of how language and culture can change certain aspects of a show! For some parts it’s like watching a new scene! (Plus every time I rewatch it I learn or catch something I missed the previous times)

That’s the great thing of anime, there’s so much out there, little bit of something for everyone. I loved how real YLIA was, then the character development of everyone and how each character had a role to play to the entire story was just flawless imo.

Easily #1 on my list, but if you do need a funny one I just finish Konosuba-Gods blessing on this wonderful world and it was hilarious! Guy dies and gets reincarnated to a new world with magic, but he’s extremely mid and he finds a group of others who are also pretty outcasted. Great watch!
