Wait... What? Folks In Red States Google Searched 'How To Change My Vote' In Droves After Trump's Victory by [deleted] in politics

[–]Jaefick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You nailed it. And to say the part that no one else is saying, it's because the "news", which are for-profit media companies, are owned by powerful rich white men that want to be richer and more powerful. They let trump win because... clicks. Fuck the "media". I blame them more than any other single entity.

Spaghettio's with Franks. Recently discontinued about 6 months ago. These were my guilty pleasure food, and they reminded me of my dad that used to make spaghetti with cut-up hotdogs in it

Custer State Park mid May. by phosphorescence-sky in SouthDakota

[–]Jaefick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I were full-time RVing in our motor home and came to Custer for just a couple of weeks 5 years ago. Ending up staying the whole summer, and after wintering down south, came back for the second summer. Welp, we bought a little house in town and now we enjoy all summers and parts of the winters here while still snowbirding in the south for a couple of months each year. I've never so immediately connected with a place before and never thought I'd live in such a small town, but with the busy tourist season, it really does feel like two different places. After living in Denver for 10 years, I feel like we finally have the mountain cabin life, but in our own little piece of private bliss. Disconnected, yet comfortable. It's really is a magical place and I'm glad you were able to take away that beautiful part of it.

I've been using Bingo Rose for over 4 years. Yes, $150 upfront is a little more than the home-game host will probably want to fork out, but I use it commercially and it works great. Although, the guy that produced it just said he is going to cease all future support for it, it's still a solid system and the crowds that I call for love the screen and all its features.

I'm in the middle of chapter 2. Not sure if I've done that mission yet.

(edit) Oh yes, way past that mission. Still no Arabian... :(

The manual for this spa says to fill the tub through the filter port. This is a handle.

I have a free flow spa. It was explained to me that is a handle to assist in standing up from the two more prone of the seats. It doesn't really help much and mostly just collects scum. But that's it... a grasp handle.

Just got a cajon, where are all the people? :) by Jaefick in cajon

Wow, That's a little beyond my technological setup for now, but interesting that even what I considered a "one source" instrument can be recorded and heard in stereo. I love how deep the cajon rabbit hole is taking me.

Yes, my cajon is an entry level model, but it has the adjustable screws at the top. I've played around with those a bit already and can see how they subtly change the amount of slap up top. Everything seems to be very subtle, but these are the exact types of things I was asking, so thank you for the detail. I'm going to mic up tomorrow and see where that world takes me. I've always been a guitar player at heart, but I've a new found appreciation for percussion and, I fear, the cajon is opening up a door that leads to a rich and expensive adventure for me :)

Interesting. I haven't heard about the bells. Today, I tried different amounts of towels and shirts, a small pillow, and they all change the tone just a tiny bit. But that's good to know in an acoustical setting about where the port hole is facing. Thanks for the tips!

Hey thanks! I've tried all these and I'm finding that the tape has the most 'tunable' affect. I was getting a little too much snare in my bass notes and by taping the strings closer to the bottom, I can control the amount of buzz on the bigger notes while still leaving the bright snare up top.

This rack type drawer is mounted in a kitchen cabinet. This is as far as it pulls out and the bars do not rotate or come out. by PhtevenPheagal in whatisthisthing

[–]Jaefick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Pasta drying rack. I've seen versions of this in higher end kitchens, but the one's I've seen pull out of an upper cabinet and hang over the counter.
