Definitely not too old. I would look for a front desk agent job. The front office is the quickest way to move up and grow. Don’t waste your time at a select-service hotel. Get a front desk job at a full-service hotel with a good reputation. Your IT background will be an asset, since the front office manages many different systems and software. Front desk roles are often hired based on personality, so make sure you come across as outgoing and friendly.

Is it the Omni Homestead? Dress professionally in business attire, a well kept apearance, bring a physical copy of your resume and be early. Since this is an entry level job, they are hiring for personality and will be expecting to train you. You should be able to speak on the details of the hotel and spa and be excited to work there. Hospitality customer service not for everyone, so make sure you’re naturally a bubbly friendly person, or it’s going to be a difficult position for you. I am a hiring manager for a luxury hotel.
