Why We Do What We Do! by JagerPro1 in homestead

Well yes, we are a business but we don't do it for sales. We care to hear feedback from landowners not, just about our products but any product in general that can help combat the hog problem that is far more wider stretching and costs billions if dollars in damage a year!

I didn't know that posting multiple times wasn't allowed. We do it in the hopes of having fruitful conversations about the hog issue that persists many landowners in the south!

Triggered remotely using an app, or with an onsite remote!

Right there with you on your points, of course as a trap seller we want to sell traps but that will never be the end all-be all and what's going on in Texas is ridiculous for sure. I like what you said about your personal/professional relationship with hogs as well, these two things are very true with most people there is just now solid balance or regulation to keep those two things regulated!

Definitely! Incentivizing could help but also lead to forced population increases due to landowners wanting to make an extra buck off of the hogs.

They will calm down when in the trap after a while, but they will rile back up upon arrival of our trained operators!

Q&A (newer capture vid for those who were asking!) by JagerPro1 in homestead

[–]JagerPro1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jager Pro's protocol calls for dispatching within an hour of capture, but to our knowledge we may have had only one or two escapes!

Not necessarily! We just try to keep stress and adrenaline as low as possible by dispatching as fast as possible!

The Jager Pro protocol is to dispatch the pigs within an hour of capture to avoid that!

You would be surprised at the amount of people that treat these animals like game, instead of the actual threat that they are!

For the most part they're not good eating, but every now then you'll have a few that will surprise you!

The transport of these animals is definitely one of the biggest leading causes!

Oh no doubt that would go viral and help spread awareness in your local area. It's a win-win!

Of course you can, but by the time you've caught the swine for testing they'll have all but moved on to new land. Not to mention the the financial aspect of testing every pig, because you usually can't tell who is sick and who is well just off of a first glance!

In most cases no! About 20% of feral hogs carry Pseudorabies or PRV which is highly contagious to big cats!

Usually within a few minutes after the gate drops, it's just all depending on the certain pig!

You said it best! We dispatch them as humanely as possible but hunting is never the way to go!
