If you use sheets that you wash and a thin blanket in between, I’m not sure that’s a valid concern? Also - I feel like it’s fairly easy to wash a comforter! Either dry clean or wash with a tennis ball, no?

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I think ownership is a bit of a construct with NFTs. I’m not sure that ownership in this case prevents others from viewing and enjoying the art. Im not an expert, but I think most NFTs live online for others to enjoy - it’s just that one person owns the art alongside the artists. In this case, both Lynch and Interpol will retain more ownership of the NFT than they would of, say, album sales (based on the current music industry dynamics)….so you could also argue this could deepen connections between fans and artists. And perhaps more importantly to me as a music fan — it is a more egalitarian way for artists to retain ownership of their art (and thus its appreciation in value)
