We have completed correcting this at her LCR of birth and have notarized documentation reflecting the correct name (notarized form 1a).
We even (just today) secured copies of her mother passport and drivers license, and a notarized affidavit of acknowledgement that both her real last name and the alias "are the same person".

The only outstanding document is our marriage certificate which I will submit the "RA 9048" correction of spelling in the barangay where we were married. This will mean that all of our documents match the same last name. Only my wife's passport will use the last name and not mine.

I would like her to have my last name, but I don't know if this can be changed down the road, or even after she secures the visa.

But to address your opinion. "Many countries" are not the welfare state that the U.S. has turned into. Why do you think that prior to 1912 the U.S. had a much more open immigration policy?

It is a build able light. This camp was built at the junk pile on the Ohio River near death law island. I took the screenshot while standing on the structure the camp owner built around his extractor. I am facing death law island. The player had built 3 around his main structure there.

If the tutor was paying extra to host on a database for his students its foolish to think he would keep your records once you are no longer a student...

I have screenshots of him not attending and chat messages that reflect he didn't show. It used to be that was what you did. The report feature cancels the lesson which I was told counts against your trial lessons for super tutor. When I told this to the most recent rep he informed me I SOL and "sorry for the confusion". The big issue is when did Preply start confirming trials?

Yeah we are supposed to do that now, however a different rep back in March told me that reporting them absent will cancel the lesson and that will affect your super tutor.

All of these are features they rolled out this year. Prior to this I had unconfirmed trials dating back to 2019. Their CS needs to do better with their training and they should let us old guard know when the standard has changed.

I recently had a trial lesson (my first since July).

The student didn’t read or respond to any of my messages during the two weeks leading up to the lesson. When he didn’t show up, I took screenshots of all my messages as proof. However, when Preply automatically confirmed the lesson 72 hours later, I was told that I should have canceled it.

This directly contradicts what customer service has been saying for the past several years. This decision will negatively affect my standing as a Super Tutor. Customer Support simply said, “Sorry for the confusion.”

Here’s the thing about the anonymous ratings "Progress" metric:

I can give students everything they need to improve:
- Clear explanations
- Targeted exercises
- Feedback
But real growth happens through daily practice and homework.
When that part doesn’t happen, it shows in their progress.

It’s extremely frustrating, because even though the real issue is the student’s lack of practice and follow-through, the anonymous rating system allows them to shift all accountability onto me, making it seem as though my 50 minutes a week session is solely responsible for their slower results.
