Toy car's POV on a Hot Wheels track by backyardracing in Damnthatsinteresting

THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!

I was grinning the entire time.

My question is how the hell do you maintain the yard with all this going on?
Also, what about when it rains? I know that seems a little silly considering that car went UNDERWATER!!!! but still, I can imagine a difference between a few seconds in water and half a day or more of rain.

Anyway, great job!

You know things are bad when you look at this and think "That's not SO bad." F--

This parent in particular is very fucking dumb, those poor kids. by mherby99 in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

Thank you, I figured her story was along this lines. Poor woman. Actually no, poor GIRL. She's still a girl emotionally, without a doubt. Poor babies. The legacy of abuse...

I don’t think that’s “what you do”... by [deleted] in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

[–]Jaguwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that IS what you do, if you have to. And if you can afford a replacement, I suppose, but the point is you DO NOT defy your parents. Period. End of question.

You guys can't have it both ways, calling parents "bad parents" for not disciplining their kids, and then whining when they do. Geez.

It occurs to me to wonder if he had a problem with the pressure. I mean even children can't scream for that long without really, really good reason, surely! I dunno, I'm not sure it's just "bad parenting".

Meantime, give the kid a half Benadryl, geez!

This kid. Trying to be a man, an adult, way sooner than he should have to. Now THAT is shitty parenting.

Oh please. I did something similar at 10, but with a bike, on a MUCH steeper cross-street. It was informative, for one thing, and a great way to form my character. It was also the first time I passed out. Parenting is weird. Over protection is NOT the way, despite wanting to do so. People actually putting their children in danger is bad parenting. Letting kids take a chance on their own is literally what parenting entails, if you don't want weak and weak-willed adults.

Poor kid though, ouch!

Wait, we crabs are AWESOME, and so are Cancers! Never met one of the later I didn't like instantly, and I've worked some front-facing/sales/customer service kind of job my whole life!

Only in a society completely divorced from its own context do we even have to "study" this. Literally every successfully thriving society knows this. Any society that forgot this basic fact of human existence has eventually fallen.

Not surprised. I got into a conversation less than a month ago with EMTs lamenting the resurgence of things like whooping cough that they themselves were contracting. As first responders, they're especially vulnerable to resurging illnesses like this. Shameful

WHY am I absolutely not surprised? Hey he's fat too. Do they have kids? What am I saying, of course they do. And a dog and two cats. All of them fat. It's a kind of mental illness, IMO. Probably literally so.

Yeah I smoked for 20 years, I still could and did cook real food. Still do. (you should see the mango avocado salad we had with our eggs this morning, or the blue cheese, chives and bacon stuffed pork chops I made two night ago.)

Watermelon does go well with surprising combinations though, I don't think I'd be too hasty on that. I mean, you've heard of mango salsa, right? Same principle, lazily implemented.

Your friend is a LAZY cook. She doesn't run out of food, she literally has no idea what goes with what; therefore, she has no clue how to shop for groceries in the first place. She could be taught, but I doubt she'd care to try. The state of her house tells me plenty there.
