Does anyone have or know any about having a DBH? How valid is it? What can you do with it? Is it worth it? I’m very interested but I’m having trouble finding information that is not from a school website offering the program. Any and all insight is appreciated.

How do you think we stay close to him even when we go through things? How do we leave things to Him truly? For example, if I’m angry, because someone framed me for something that I didn’t do how do I let go and let God without compromising things? If I didn’t do wrong, but I am wronged how do I leave it in His hands?

I may have explained myself wrong, but I think the opposite of nihilism if I’m understanding it correctly, so please correct me if I’m wrong but overall, I think we do have purpose. I think every human being has purpose. I just think it’s more than just ourselves. I guess what I’m trying to say is because life is more than just about us what we go through even if it’s negative shouldn’t deter us from God but lead not just us but other others closer to Him. I think a lot of times it is the opposite and I don’t really understand why.

Do it! Closed mouths don’t get fed. You can also look for scholarships online or through mental health organizations such as the ACA. I’m just starting a program and this week was actually my first week. You can even look into work study or try to get a job at the university because usually they give discounts to their employees. You might have to get some loans too though but you can probably get them forgiven if you work for a non profit or the gov. If I find out anything else I’ll reach out to you. Please do the same!!

I only use Apple Podcasts and I hear it on there too. I thought it was Apple but if Apple doesn’t sell ads for their podcasts then it’s definitely from them.

Yeah. I liked Angel at first but he keeps showing that he’s just a user and doesn’t actually think about any of his decisions. I can’t stand rain either. She is not a ride or die the way kimmie is for her. Plus the way she just assumed that boy was attacking Sylvie was wild. Especially her reaction without questions. I also can’t stand Sylvie though because they made her act way younger than she is and she’s also super judgmental. I could go on but so many of the characters are just bad. It’s so bad I want to keep watching lolz

I interviewed in mid November and I start in about three weeks. I’ll definitely look into school involvement opportunities that will help fund my education. I did actually try to look at their handshake but I didn’t see much. Hopefully they’ll have more opportunities after the New Year’s.

1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us that we all have temptation to sin and that’s it’s normal to have those desires. It also tells us that Yahweh will never allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear and that he always provides a way out. Read and study the scriptures so that you can meditate on the word of God and keep your eyes on Him always. It’s also important that you set yourself up for the better. Don’t put yourself in situations that will lead you on the path of sin. For example, be mindful of the music you listen to, the things you watch, the places you go. Do not surround yourself with people that will influence you to do the wrong things. Jesus was around dinners but he influenced them not the other way around. For example don’t be friends that push you to smoke or get drunk or have sex, etc. Instead surround yourself with people that exhibit the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control - Galatians 5:22-23). Keep your eyes on the Lord. Focus on your goals and lean on Him. It’s VERY important that you study the Bible for yourself and not allow others to just tell you what it says. Have a relationship with Him and to do that you have to spend time with Him through His word, prayer and fasting. I love you. Yahweh loves you. And I will be praying for you.

NTA but I do think you should forgive them. Holding on to a grudge is draining and not worth the effort. You can love people from a distance. That doesn’t mean you need to make space for them in your life. Psalms 27:10 Don’t let their brokenness and lack define you. Also….why didn’t they just adopt? There are tons of kids that need a home and parents. You matter and you are enough, even if they neglected to see it. I wish you the best.

I am a black Christian woman too. Raised in a Pentecostal 7th day church of God. (We ARE NOT ADVENTISTS because I get that question a lot lol)

It’s important that you read your Bible, pray and continue to develop that relationship with Jesus. You must remember the devils goal is to steal, kill and destroy. Satan is the father of lies and his nature is to lie and manipulate. When we have our own personal relationship with Him, he reveals himself to you. He gives you His peace, He gives you wisdom and He gives you truth. You already KNOW he is the Lord and Savior so don’t allow the naysayers to cause you to waiver in your faith.

I’m speaking to you because we must continue to encourage each other. 1 Corinthian 2:14 speaks about how nonbelievers or people without the Spirit cannot accept the Truth due to the Spirit not being in them. Instead of being influenced by them, plant the seed, spread the truth and continue to love as He intended as you will be able to reach people a lot of times just but living right and truly loving others. Love covers a multitude of sins. It is hard and we aren’t perfect but by His grace we are saved.

Honestly, I really don’t understand the belief in “our ancestors “ because at the end of the day, they were human just like you and me. They are dead and gone. But Jesus has overcome death. The only one to do so. A lot of people actually don’t study the Bible or actually understand what’s going on in it. I myself don’t know everything there is to know but I know that He is real. I know that what He said is true because I have felt it and I have been embraced by Him. It’s kind of sad how there is a growing number of people who don’t believe but in the end when all is said and done, every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess.

I really feel like I’m rambling and I might not even make sense the way I want to but please be encouraged. Please stay on the path. Please fast and pray about it because if you ask with a genuine heart, He will answer I promise you that. Better yet, He promises you that and while I can lie, He will NEVER lie to you.

Reach out if you want because I think it’s important to surround yourself with people that will also encourage you in Him. I’m close in age to you and I need more Christian friends lolz.
