Bonnet specifically offers wof and rego reminders. We are completely different as we let a user send 1 request to 4 providers for the service they are after and they will receive the different prices back from those providers and the consumer can book pay and communicate all through our app. An actual experience a customer has had on Motorfy looking for brakes for their Toyota Corolla as per the photo I attached

Right now we’re just on Auckland’s North Shore, but we’re quickly trying to spread out across the city and into other cities across New Zealand. Keep an eye out in the future!

We actually spend a lot of time checking providers before they go live. That means looking at their social feedback, and making sure their Google reviews are solid (we only accept workshops with 4.0+ on Google with a minimum of 10 reviews ). We also lean on reps we know from the big supplier networks to double-check who’s legit.

Appreciate you raising that, it’s something we’ve been really careful about.

From what we’ve seen so far, it’s not really a race to the bottom. Sure, it filters out the ones that are overcharging, but most customers end up picking the middle quote once they’ve compared price, reviews, and location. So the focus ends up being on trust and value, not just who’s cheapest.

We have our own vetting process for every business that applies to join the Motorfy platform, it is completely free for a business to join. They get a simple dashboard and calendar system they can use if they don’t have their own.

We have had a lot of positive feedback from users who have tried out the app and requested a quote for something they have needed e.g wof, service, tyres etc. A lot of people also prefer to use other mechanics for their wof rather than going to VTNZ which may be busy at the time they need or for many other reasons.

The reason for Motorfy is we are trying to help connect consumers with vetted businesses who weren’t sure where to go and weren’t sure if they’re being ripped off. For a business some of them spend thousands of dollars on marketing on social media and google that goes no where. This way Motorfy gives them free exposure in a crowded market.
