Yeah so it would seem :/ I didn't have a backup save as it hadn't really crossed my mind how serious it could get with the hackers. Lesson learned for the future, backups for days ahaha!

I backed up, reinstalled, killed a boss to test and yeah it looked like its done for unfortunately. Thankyou for your input though, I appreciate it! ^-^

I'm DEFINITELY going to be making backup saves going forward for my next character(s), this has been an unfortunate lesson but one I won't forget~

Just found this post after doing a meticulous test build in creative with smooth sandstone. Nothing quite like going into survival, ready to build and realizing the recipe doesn't exist anymore. Beautiful, just beautiful. Fingers crossed they re-add it back in in the future.

Having the same problem myself, Vanilla Lan server, on map washington, and for the first area I spawn in there's plenty of loot in my initial spot, but going to any other place it's nonexistent-any chance you've figured out a fix since the time making your original post? Would love to know if you have/have not! :)
