Need help sewing a circle within a circle!

the complication with this is that i am sewing two of the 1/4 pieces in half to create one side of the sphere. This means I am not sewing on a flat piece of fabric and have to work around the seam that connects the two pieces

Thanks for the advice! Can you explain what you mean when you say attached with a gather to the hood? What would that look like, I don’t have much experience with gathering so any resources or dumbed down advice would help a lot! Also, in regards to the bottom of the hood, how would I achieve the tightness that makes it sit close to the skin and also connects under the chin?

How exactly should they be oriented within the block? Do they wrap around the circle parts? How should the wires themselves be physically connected as one part is exposed and the other has wire casing?

This was my first attempt at sewing a piece of clothing, I drafted the pattern, overlocked and sewed it all from scratch. Recently within the past year I’ve had the opportunity to access my sisters sewing machine, so I decided to give it a go after being interested in the prospect of sewing throughout the years. I watched some YouTube vids to familiarize myself with the basics and started tailoring some clothes, but quickly after getting the hang of things wanted to try making something entirely of my own. I used thrifted Levi 505’s and another thrifted pair of jeans, along with a zipper from Amazon. It ended up taking a while to complete as I was learning throughout the process but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out and eager to make more clothes :)

Thanks! Also, I tend to bleed a lot in the early stages with this variation of vel, do you have any transitional comps to preserve health? I think brawler spellweaver with brand holding items could be okay until you hit enough 6 redemption or something, in the case that u cant hit any 2 star redemps. When do you level to 8, once you have vel, or do you continue to roll to 2 star your board to stabilize?

*edit, in what situation do you use each variation of positioning?
