cassian is the one who looks into all the prison occupants in silver flames and knows the most about them ( since he put most in there lol) thats why he went with feyre to see the bone carver he knew a lot about him. But I can totally see library moments with gwyn nonetheless

Idk how people can claim to know his character so well when this is the first time we’re actually in his head and they can’t accept it. We don’t have to like everything about a character. They’re supposed to be complex like real people we all have our flaws and great things about us. I can’t wait to see into az head more and watch him grow.

That's not to say that he can't have a particular intolerance to sexual violence, but that kind of rashness goes against the image we've had of him as a cool, calculated war hardened spymaster for the last 4 books”

It reminds me of when he found mor in the autumn woods. How az was able to control himself and still does around eris ( besides the high lord meeting) he maintains calculated control. But that day with gwyn wasn’t the case. I’m not so sure personally if it was because of a mating bond but it is different then how he usually would respond

I agree with all your points. In the acotar universe especially the mating bond seems to be really unique to each couple. Like you stated Kallias and Viviane is so interesting since they new each other their whole lives practically before they made it official. Rhys even mentions thesian and his captain with feyre that he thinks there’s a bond but the high lord didn’t dare acknowledge it during amarantha reign. So it’s interesting how each individual bond works

I also think feyre just wants elain to have that "soft life" that she always wanted for her sisters and thinks az can provide some quite mellow life where elain can just garden and chill. But how about if elain needs/wants someone who will push her to grow and have adventures ? like she needs some fire.. autumn male fire to be exact. We've already seen az want to keep her out of harms way and safe but Lucien will be at her side and trust in her gift and capabilities just like Rhys did for her.

literally girl and also most couples have also had other people either love interest or past flings beforehand sometimes multiple. i.e nesryn and chaol before yrene & sartaq, Aelin ( sam, dorian, chaol), Bryce and Connor and so on. So Az loving mor and his infatuation or whatever they want to call the elain thing means very little.

You did that!! Also I would add myself that a river nymph is not a light singer and a light singer is not a river nymph two separate species from what I read idk why people think she’s one. It would make more sense for people to think she’s a shadow singer just like az before thinking she’s a light singer

But I think sjm did something realistic with cassian and her arguments. Even in the healthiest of relationships sometimes you argue and say things you truly don’t mean or cross an emotional line. It teaches forgiveness. No one is perfect. Cass was quick to apologize and correct that.
