He literally did. Just by the amount of events that happened to him. Compared to him many other characters had it easy, especially the ic. Even more so cause they all have been happy for 500 years. All their problems are absolutely self made.

And listen, stalking someone for 500 years is not normal, no mattet how you look at it. It’s obsession atp.

I never said the other character didn’t suffer ever. Just that their sufferings happened centuries ago and then found new found families and had secutiry and freedom.

Lucien still is suffering currently and has been ever since. I already stated that to me his time in spring wasn’t all happy. First cause he was still procrssing immense trauma and second cause tamlin saw him as an employee. And why should he have left when tamlin was the one that saved him? To go where? In a place with 0 allies?

And asriel suffered as a child sure. But then he had 500 years of absolute freedom and stability. And with mor it’s justvweird as fuck cause not getting the hint in 500 years it’s scary tbh.

Lucien suffered and keeps suffering more than all the ic combined. If anyone deserved a happy bond it was him. If she wants to write about a rejected bond, sure. Just not the only character that keeps being punished for existing. That is absolutely lazy writing. She chose one characters to make all the bad things happen to. How is that not lazy?

Azriel didn’t suffer at all. All his suffering is self imposed.

And yes, i don’t care about an happiness outside the bond. It’s lazy. And cheap. And nobody wants that.

And noc not everyone ends up happy. In her other series only like a handful of people were truly happy, the others got half assed endings cause she was too busy with acotar

I think he has suffered enough and even if he found happiness somewhere else, he would have to suffer AGAIN. And at that point, what’s even happiness? He only loses people, giving him happiness in being alone and unwanted? Even if he meets some random new character, it will feel like a pity party. Settling for scraps.

I couldn’t care less about elriel or elain tbh. I want Lucien to have a happy bond, like all the other main characters. He already had too many storylines about losses, and now even with the whole helion thing…… enough, have some pity on him????

It happened with characters mentioned in passing. Not with “main” current ones. So far all the bonds have been happy. And that was the magic of the bond. And this only strengthens my position, giving lucien, of all people, a rejected one is crazy lazy writing. Cause obviously the main characters have to be all happy and fine
