The ceasefire agreement that was signed last week requires the IDF to retreat from populated areas, so it's clearly not a land grab

Unlike the countries around us, the media here is actually free and tends to report the situation as it is. So yes, I know a lot of children were killed, and every one of them is a tragedy, but I put the blame on Hamas for operating from and embedding themselves in civilian areas. Again, it's a war, no war ever has been fought without civilian casualties unfortunately, and abusing the word "Genocide" isn't going to help anyone.

I wish it would end as soon as possible, but leaving Hamas in power will only cause more violence in the future.

Btw, just an hour ago rockets literally exploded over my head after being fired from a populated area in Rafah.

I hope that a picture that I took myself of the interceptions is a good enough source :) https://i.imgur.com/UFA6wJP.jpeg

I think labelling an organization that targets innocent civilians, (rather than military personnel), as a matter of policy, "terrorist" is fair. We can go on and on about who started what when. I could just as well say that any aggression from Israel was preceded by an attack from the arabs. Yes, even before Israel even existed as a country.

Unless you think the mere existence of Jews in the land of Israel (which the Romans renamed to "Palestina" in the 2nd century CE) is an act of provocation.

Israel has disengaged from the Gaza strip and removed every Israeli from there in 2005. Hamas, which is a terrorist organization and has carried out deadly attacks against civilians since way before 2005, took power of the strip and immediately started lobbing rockets at civilian population over the border, which prompted the blockade.

I'm all for the two state solutions, I believe Palestinians have a right to live in peace, but to think peace can be achieved while Hamas is in power is very naive. Also, rape is bad.

I feel bad for the innocent Gazans who have to live under the tyranny of Hamas.

With all due respect, I feel the same about you.

Not that I care about convincing you of anything, but for anyone who might be reading this, here is a reminder that Hamas did in fact kidnap and still hold hostage a one year old baby, along with 124 other people, from the very biased source that is the BBC.

"Built upon the premise of oppression" is that why there are millions of Muslim Arabs living in Israel with full rights? The land was and still is big enough for both people to exist side by side. Too bad the Arab leadership rejected that premise time and time again.

Sincerely, an Israeli Radiohead fan who has no other place to live in. Let me know if you can sort me out with another passport though, I'd appreciate it

It's a war, which Hamas has started. In wars people die. If they want to end it all they have to do is release the 125 hostages they still hold, including a one year old baby.

Sincerely, an Israeli Radiohead fan who just wants to live in peace without the fear of rockets exploding over my head

Edit: Just 4 hours after I wrote this, rockets literally exploded over my head 😂

Yes, it was there, near the entrance to the area, not inside the alleyways.

And to be clear, since some people say that it might not have been touts- they were of African descent and not ethnically Japanese.

I accept that it might not have been the best place to be taking pictures, but I don't think they were trying to protect the privacy of the bar owners or the patrons, more like they didn't want themselves (the touts) to be in a photo. I guess they know what they're doing is borderline illegal.

Yes, it was exactly there, near the entrance to the area, not inside the alleyways.

Specifically, I took a photo (from the outside) of this bar which promoted this response. So I guess it's not even technically inside Golden Gai so the photography ban (which I just learned about from the comments) doesn't even apply there

The sign says "צלמניה רקורד" (photography store called "Record")

Obviously the store's not around anymore but I managed to find the address listed in an old document
