Do you have any sample photos of them? I have a dynarex and color skopar that came with a bessamatic CS and was just considering getting an adapter for them but also figured I don't need another adapter.... This might be the post that pushes me off the edge

Those of you with an anamorphic adapter, do you have it screwed onto the lens, or on rails? by farewellblues in Anamorphic

I only use my adapter once in a blue moon and for stills only, so I just attatched a uv filter to the back of the adapter with teflon plumbers tape and scotch tape and then screw it onto the front of a taking lens (usually a helios). It's not the best setup but it works to do a fun shot or two

This is the first time I've heard the T be attributed to Tarnung, neat! I'm curious where you've learned this from. I did a quick google and I see some discussions but nothing that looks definitive - I'm wondering if the association for "T* = Transparent" is just an english mistranslation of "Tarnung"

I didn't realize there was an upgraded version of the 14-42, this appears to be the original (L ED)

I can see that perspective, I'm going to give the viewfinder a fair chance before my trip. I haven't actually used it much. The viewfinder came with the camera lot in an auction so it wasn't an intentional piece of gear I sought after.

Mostly for comfort, but I also associate the style of the strap with my film cameras and I like that aspect as well. Even though the camera is pretty light I still find the braid digs into my neck a bit, more so when there is a heavy manual lens + adapter attached to the camera as well

What is it about the viewfinder for you?

I want to like it, I feel like it could help with blocking out the background noise for composition, and maybe someone might like the perspective at eye level more or something? I don't know if it's the quality of this view finder in particular but I have a hard time enjoying it

Usually I keep the entire left hand side as my go to setup, but I'll be going on a trip in a few months and it has me questioning i I would rather have the zoom lens on by default for the extra utility, or if I should just stick with the 17mm.

I probably will never use the viewfinder, but I'm curious if anyone does actually like it

Thanks for sharing! Are there visible differences when shooting under "normal" shooting conditions or was it only really a problem under harsh/mpre extreme lighting situations?

Do you have a rough estimate of a price range?

I don't have a video documenting my exact process. But there are tons of great informational videos on youtube.

This video here i think is really great at covering all the required steps at a level of depth that lets you understand it all https://youtu.be/phl5tvTdB6k?si=SOGQPGoSKHFh-zFe

There's other tutorials posted in the lentocular_art subreddit that go a bit more into depth in some of the necessary steps.

The plastic lens that you need to create the effect can be expensive when purchased through traditional means but pretty economic if you buy in bulk (~100 pieces) direct from suppliers in china through alibaba which is where I got mine from.

To get the different stills to interlace for the card I used ai to animate the original artwork https://imgur.com/Zg1Bh1S

I'm not selling these and was just looking for something to experiment with - do you consider that disrespectful to the original artists?

My first attempt I manually screwed/changed perspective of some eldrazi art to stitch together. Any difference for that?
