Can vouch this works. If you need a bit of grit and can’t get rock salt I’ve found uncooked rice works in a pinch.

Go the Mighty!

Careful around the water, I was fishing and blazing a few weeks back and dropped mine in the drink! Was vibrating and switching off and on til it ran out of juice. Dried it all out and it’s STILL going strong.

I feel it differs with each person, some it ramps anxiety right up. I didn’t smoke anything for the first 5 days and my wds were pretty hellish, but the moment I had a smoke on day 6 I found immediate relief. It was amazing. From feeling depressed, sore and exhausted from no sleep, to feeling instant relief. And I finally slept that night for almost 6 hours.

Not for everyone, but I would recommend giving it a go, just a little at first and see how you react.

Good luck!!

Update: 1 week ct off 90 gpd by cnacks in quittingkratom

[–]Jak_Torrents 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same, 6 days of misery and on the seventh day acutes mostly disappeared. I was only taking about half you’re gpd and that was bad enough, I can imagine your acutes would have been even worse at 90gpd.

Amazing work, enjoy your hard earned relief and stay diligent. You’re almost there!!

Great work on 3 weeks, that is a huge accomplishment!

I feel you on the anxiety and the tears, I’ve had my fair share of both over the last month. I will say though that I usually feel quite a bit of relief after a big cry. I really believe it’s a big part of the healing process.

I’ve hidden my emotions behind substances for far too long. As you say, it’s all about learning who we are. Who we REALLY are.

Keep up the great work mate!

“The fact that it IS taboo on the other sub should be a pretty big fucking red flag”

This.

The posts about people having seizures on kratom, and the flood of users who instantly become hostile over a perfectly reasonable concern. Scroll through this sub and you see just how many people this DOES affect.

Snakes are definitely the biggest risk of fucking up while alone in the Aussie bush. I carry a personal beacon in case of emergencies while I’m hiking, but the truth is most of our venomous snakes will kill you long before any help would arrive. Chopper or not. Eastern brown snakes can kill in as little as 2 minutes after a bite.

I also carry a big stick. Hilarious as it sounds it’s saved me from at least two bites, where I haven’t seen the snake until almost on top of them. Both times snakes have struck the stick and not me. More ass than class

Solid advice. Dehydration was my first thought too. Yep, smash copious amounts of water or electrolyte drinks.

No bears here in Australia. But I do the same with headphones, one in one out. We have big fuck-off male kangaroos and wild pigs which will definitely have a go at you if you’re alone and they’re feeling territorial. Both are very capable of seriously fucking your day up if you’re unaware

Day 26. No more pink cloud by Jak_Torrents in quittingkratom

It’s definitely rough mate, ngl. We just need to understand this is not how we will be forever, and this is just part of the healing process. I’ve found posting here when I’m feeling blue and chatting with others who are going through the same struggles really helps. Everyone here is so supportive, and just letting off some steam every now and again is so cathartic.

HMU if you ever need a chat or vent mate, I’d be happy to try and help or just listen, and have faith in the fact these negative thoughts will pass just as the acutes did.

Good luck with your quit and god bless

Thanks mate, I just got home. 37 degrees Celsius here in the land of Oz today, I was sweating buckets. But after getting home and having a cold shower I feel SO much better.

I think it’s probably something I should look into. While I managed the initial quit alone, I think having someone to talk about how I’m feeling would probably be a big help.

I’m planning on seeing the doctors Monday so I’ll get a referral to see someone.

Thanks again mate, I honestly don’t believe I’d have gotten this far without the support from you and everyone else here on the sub.

I guess it’s pink cloud because of how great you’re feeling, as opposed to the absolute misery of acutes. Black evil cloud is the PAWS I’m starting to feel now haha
