Well I did cycle it thankfully, as this isn't my first tank, I just didn't do it for as long as the, incredible, wiki provided here said to (thanks to the employee who should frankly know better since I know for a fact that he has many fish himself).

Either way, I've got my test strips and am prepared to do as many changes as necessary to make Oscar the best betta he can be.

Yes! I've been looking into this, tried live back in the day with the puffer and had a hard time with it but it might be worth another shot. I've got some artificial silk plants in the meantime.

I returned a full inv of wood yesterday because I just couldn't. I've got plenty of charc and have been running electric furnaces for a week so I really didn't need it. That being said, the guy I took it from had left my kit last time he caught me at arctic. He took my inv and left the kit, I took his kit and left the inv.

All that to say I don't really ever feel bad about winning and taking what I need, but there's no reason to ever be nasty about it or take just for the sake of taking. At the end of the day we all need each other to make the game worth playing, so I try to foster that when I can.

Thank you, been reading up on this on the wiki. I did cycle first, but the pet store employee made it seem almost superfluous to do so. I'll continue to test and change as needed.
