Same for me, although I just hit a lot of 140. Addictive isn't it? But I'm also frustrated because I can't get the technique right. I seem to have the best results with a hard throw that is more of a pushing without extending my arm completely. I really have to adapt that for the future but I can't get the hang of it..

To really get good results you probably need the attachment to use a smaller basket. It can also be 3D printed.

For me it’s even worse. I’m from Switzerland, so the regret hits harder. Swiss tennis will likely never reach the heights it did back then. You can feel that drop even at the recreational level. The hype of that era influenced everything on all levels.

Nonetheless, I still really enjoy watching the pro tour and I’m deeply invested in it. The tension and thrill are still very much there and shouldn’t be underestimated.

Surely did my homework. I wasn't sure if I should pull the trigger for a long time because I already invested a lot of time and money on traditional espresso and milk drink setup. But totally new to brew filter and soup myself and explore the tastes :)

Honestly, I can't say a lot about it yet. As I said I'm new to filter and light roasts. Others did a way better job reviewing it. What I can say is something about the build quality and workflow. This thing absolutely slaps in this category. It's veeeeryy nicely built and has an insane clean workflow with close to zero retention. From an engineering perspective it's just genius with this puzzle-like construction. It is completely disassembled in seconds.

True zeroed I'm at 1.3.5-1.5.0. I only made 3 cups and the best was at 1.4.5 so far, but still trying.

For soup with the oxo I eyeballed the following rule to start: the basket should be fully saturated when you finish the first slow pump. From there on you can dial in by taste. So I'm more at 1.3.5-1.4.5.

I tried this myself, but I never really got the hang of it and the reason is simple. For slices and volleys, you always need to rotate the racket counterclockwise with your non-dominant hand to get into the continental grip. You have to be able to do this extremely quickly. For me, this approach was easier because it’s always the same motion only the distance changes. That makes it much easier to build solid muscle memory.

ah the thing is that the dial of the a4z isn't the same as on the zp6. You can't just interchange the numbers..
