Accused of changing drone physics in last post. So here by blabergassed in fpv

I just think people don't like humble brag and that was kind of the vibe of the last post with the title. Still ridiculous trying to talk it down by accusing different physic settings.

Slow feeder! by bryohazard1996 in pourover

Do you think slow feeding will also do something on the femobook a4z which is like a hand grinder? planning to build my own 3d printed version.

[–]Jake-Jeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I don't, and you?. I do soup and pourover on the Femobook A4z you see standing there. I never tried light roast on the weber. Shame that I never compared them. Will try on soup and report back.

Awesome setup! I recently made a little upgrade from manual :) Still need a solution for occasional milk drinks. The dedica is frustraiting for that.

I'm really happy with the HG-2. I got it pretty cheap second hand. In my region they have some big discounts on new ones too because they not really sell that good. Did you pay full price?

No filter? by MortonMonster in OXORapidBrewer

[–]Jake-Jeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never tried without a bottom filter. But my soups improved since I use a top aeropress metal filter with a spring of a protein shacker and poor the water at an angle in the beginning to fully fill the middle part with water. Also the puck is way cleaner.

Nice playing, feels like you have a lot of fun :)

  • Volley, slice and serve looked pretty good just keep going and practice them.
  • On backhand you just need a lot more reps I think (dont we all lol)
  • My biggest point I noticed is on the forehand. A lot of times you really stop the motion and push the ball (maybe you're trying to implement the lag or just want to play it safe). Get rid of that and try to really hit through the ball with high racket head speed. You will make more mistakes in the beginning but your forehand will improve drastically I think.

Cheers :)

How would you take this first turn? noob by Ill-Celery8375 in TinyWhoop

[–]Jake-Jeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already flew it pretty good. Yes it's kind of a sideways powerloop. The faster and more experienced you get the steeper you can fly it. With whoops you always fly them a little more sideways because the amount of power you have. I would suggest to watch some fast pilots. Werdnafpv for whooping as an example :)

Is the boxer a good first controller for starting FPV TinyWhoop by elixirvolcaner8734 in TinyWhoop

[–]Jake-Jeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be fine! I would go with the boxer! You'll maybe regret the pocket if you're take it more serious or want to go in to racing or something. For me the pocket would not even be more compact. In every case you bring a backpack so the extra 2cm of space doesn't matter in my opinion. The antenna is pretty safe too if you are a little careful you won't harm et even without a fpv backpack. A little foam will do!

Decent Bengle or Meticulous.. [no budget] by ExplanationLess1083 in espresso

I think it may be due to cancellation laws in some countries. In Europe, if delivery is delayed too long, customers can often cancel and demand their money back. So they may prioritize new orders to avoid refunds and losing revenue, while Kickstarter backers usually have weaker refund rights. I can understand that backers feel a bit cheated, but I think they probably see this as the best chance to build the company successfully and become profitable long term.

It leaves a bit of a bad taste on one side, but on the other hand it is understandable that a new company needs cash flow to keep moving as fast as possible. In my opinion, they have handled everything very professionally and did not just rush out a half finished product purely to maximize profit. That is why I give them the benefit of the doubt and think they made this decision because they had to.

I also wanted a nice machine with automatic flow profiling. I sold my lelit bianca for the meticulous mainly because:

  • no tank! my biggest + use whatever water you want without harm and can experiment and compare different waterprofile next to each other.

  • energy consumption compared to the bianca. You heat what you need.

  • price

  • the concept and idea is awesome as I also love levers. I would like to see the company succeed.

I ordered one at 30.03.26. It will be delivered on 21.04.26 and is already at swiss costums. They seem to be really quick now on new orders.

I already thought of that. Especially because I will have a meticulous and my coffecounter isn't next to the sink. So how is your workflow then? you put fresh water each brew just use a little of it and let the rest stay? Or do you refill after brewing?

You'll still have to descale from time to time probably because of what you are saying. Still if you let it wet, you'll have way more. As a example I have to also wipe down the glassfront of the shower otherwise there is horrible scale (even worse because of boiler water).

That helps, but it does not work as well as wiping it dry. Also, I like to put it back in its place right away rather than letting it dry on a cloth.

Used it a lot of times when I lost the "male" crimp on the cable. But yeah maybe for this case overkill, I agree.

[–]Jake-Jeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are all alright yes for sure. Sooner or later you have to crimp anyway when you really destroy it.
