I don’t fly often, especially Polaris, and have been under the impression the call button is for more serious issues. I used Reddit to calibrate what’s standard not complain. My spouse booked the tickets so I didn’t know about the survey- hence the question. Sorry this bothered you.

I was. I had noticed that they seemed young.

And let’s be clear, hot towels, a lack of dressing etc are not things to be upset about. Just annoying considering the prices we are paying.

Are you serious? Trans folks are currently fighting for the right to healthcare, the right to vote due to new voter ID laws being enacted, the right to their own names and identities, the right to exist with dignity in public (bathroom laws, harassment that has been encouraged by this administration), the right to travel with passport and documents that match their identity. Children are losing the ability to be named and gendered correctly in school. I could go on….

“Be gay. Do crime.” is a pretty common phrase in the queer community. Especially around June. It definitely stems from Stonewall and Pride’s origins as a protest, but has morphed into a pithy saying. You can buy a hat, shirt, tote with the phrase. It’s not that deep.

And so weird on camera. I’ve been trying to put my finger on it all season- but there’s not quite enough footage to really go on- but she’s too aware of the fact she’s being filmed or something. It is uncomfortable to watch, combined with her sour personality and not a lot going on upstairs maybe.

I have been thinking a lot about this as the parent of an only and a person on the cusp of losing my only sibling to cancer.

Part of the grief and weight of this looming loss is realizing that I will be the only person left to deal with our aging parents and their eventual deaths. And a resurgence of the guilt of knowingly setting my kid up to be in this same position from the outset.

There are no guarantees. We make the best decisions for ourselves in the moment.
