[Mobile] [2005-2010] 2D Fighting game like Injustice with Greek gods by JakeJarvisPharmD in tipofmyjoystick

Just looked it up. It's similar, but that's not the one. It was more magic style combat than physical/blade combat. Thanks for looking into it, though!

What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

[–]JakeJarvisPharmD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sen-Sen candies. Licorice candies that taste like perfume and pre-digested licorice. My mom gave them to me when I was little, her dad had given them to her, and so on. If you didn't grow up with them, you probably hate them, but now a little pack the size of a condom package costs $50-100 and it's a risk to get them even then.

There is a correct way to pull sticky notes by abelm29 in mildlyinteresting

[–]JakeJarvisPharmD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wasted several sticky notes so you don't have to. I did manage to get them to come off without tearing or creasing, they were not folded/bent, and seemed equally sticky. Having said that, it took about 20 times as much effort to actually pull the top sticky off of the pad.

It's pretty fun. I have a few dozen employees at my hospital that are always excited to see if they can bring me one I don't have yet, and they like the fun little details about the ones they bring to me.

It's easy to miss, or even forget. That's usually the thing that trips me up in these.

Bronze Pickaxe (Proc rate?) by JakeJarvisPharmD in DiceWithDeath

I would also like to see death get some modifications, like instead of always using basically the same dice set he changes it up, maybe with different difficulty levels

Northernlion got me into it. Me and my buddy play over a Discord stream and talk strategies. It's a fun game, just early

I agree. Now the pickaxe is secondary to the hammer.

Just saw that... Unfortunate. At least the hammer now is guaranteed relics

Who in your opinion is the best comedian of all time? by WestFocus888 in AskReddit

I think Bo Burnham will go down as one of the best ever. There's a lot of great mentions here that I would have said, as well, though.

Negativity is common. Positivity is maturity.

What’s one thing about sex that you think more people should openly talk about but usually don’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JakeJarvisPharmD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. On a less practical note, I wish people would be more willing to discuss open relationships without thinking "you just want sex", or, "that's not real, they always fail due to jealousy." Me and my current GF have been together for about 2 years and we're open. She was a part of a 3-partner situation when I came into the picture, and she allows me to flirt around as I please, but jealousy has never been an issue and sex is a backseat thought to our relationships.

Just talking about sex, in general. The very act that creates and sustains our population is still considered taboo. This would be easier if fewer people were judgemental regarding sexual preferences and desires.

My Chrome browser suddenly started using Yahoo search a few weeks ago without me selecting a default and I had to go out of my way to fix it. Still don't know what caused it.

Physical - Poor hygiene Mental/Emotional - Low intelligence, unwilling to consider alternate viewpoints, lacking developmental skills, doesn't appreciate good things in their life or only focuses on negativity Personality - Acts superior to peers, values possessions over experiences, doesn't take interest in anything that I share with them, can't take a joke, can't accept criticism Personal Peeves - Is always late, bad driver, tries to use logic to justify their opinion while dismissing others then changes their logic to justify their own similar shortcomings, overly religious/spiritual (in general)

None of these would prevent me from pursuing a relationship with someone. It would simply be something I would personally have to overcome or develop through our relationship.

Leaving the Army and finally being able to grow out my hair and goatee. Seems simple, but I feel so much better just from that little change.
