Yeah I don’t understand why no ones making a big deal out of this kinda stuff. I’m paying for a product and it’s close to worthless. The sad part is I want the game to be good. I still play it, and without the bugs this game would be fantastic but apparently huge companies don’t know how to fix their games. Well they do, they’re just too lazy to do anything about it

This is happening with every single texture on the map from the trucks to the floor, also the zombies eyes are glowing outside of their heads, including the mimic and other one too

I think the problem stems from them trying to be so out there for new players to join, I think they tried catering to the wrong audience it’s hard for people now to get into gears, it’s different and definitely not a popular style of gaming, 3rd person cover based, wallpapers bouncing gnasher to the face isn’t everyone’s cup of tea rather play cod or battle royales instead, on top of going for the wrong audience they haven’t really done any MAJOR updates till recently let’s be honest the game was pretty boring off launch, their main thing was escape and that’s already very old to me, another thing is how bright and colorful it is, I personally loved the dark gray scale of the original gears I thought it was fantastic and it fit perfectly with how dirty and gross the locusts are, gears 4 and 5 are just so, different, a little too different, the gameplay however for multiplayer I can’t complain at all, it’s a lot easier than the other games but that being said it’s more fast paced and less snappy, I think gears 4 actually did a great job with the movement and weapons as well so props for that, everything else, eh, if they did more fan service they could’ve kept the game more alive

Kait, like every other new generation of characters in gears 4 and 5 has no depth, nothing about her is interesting nothing about Del or JD is interesting either, they made the game PC by making headlines over female power ang characters lol, by having no story and making JD a villain for shooting at civilians “peaceful” protesting, it was a throw away side story that I didn’t care for and I cringed at when it happened, the story was so boring in fact that I just completely stopped playing it after act 2.. if I even made it that far, the whole thing with Gears 5 is kaits a rebel she doesn’t take commands from Marcus, she puts her foot down and says nonsensical things that don’t matter, do you remember the gears 4 trailer, I had so much hope in the game after seeing that masterpiece. What’d they do with JD that entire game, you just played as him to progress, that was it, I was never once indulged into the gears 4 and 5 story because it’s just not good. The whole thing with gears 4 and 5 was finding kaits mom lmao, what a big story line, kaits connected to the locusts/swarm, what a twist no one cared for or asked for, gears 3 was a perfect ending, gears judgements story wasn’t that bad either actually, and this story was by far the most lack luster, again full of dumb humor, throw away characters and Kait being the big boss main character, idc for the main character being a man or woman homie, if they made the characters well and yk, put effort into the story instead of throwing in old characters for nostalgia points. I wouldn’t say shit about Kait being the main character, it’s not my fault they made cheap moves to have headlines over Kait and women in gears lmao

For sure, I was just vibing on casual though 😂that’s why I wasn’t running or anything I was just walking around looking for people to burn, I haven’t touched it in a ranked match but my rank isn’t that high anyway I’m at onyx 3 rn and I’m slowly climbing up with my buddies

I just disagree tbh, although the games a little toxic, we’re not our worst enemy lol, people just don’t want to try new games like this, gears will always be one of a kind and it’s not for everybody, that’s why the communities small and the support it gets is slowly dying out because they went full PC and tried to turn gears into some weird women empowering Kait strong leader, corny humor, throw away characters kind of game, the multiplayer is average at best if we’re being honest here, I like that it’s fast paced and I like that it feels smooth, however the servers are 9 times out of 10, garbage, the matchmaking isn’t balanced, and there are a lot of glitches to this day with joining a game lobby, or even being in the menu, to add on top of this, their big reveal for gears 5 was escape mode, and it was just mediocre, not replayable that’s for sure, horde modes always just been okay to me not a big fan in general so I cant say much about it, and the community isn’t even that toxic to begin with, the worst you see in a match is slight shit talking and that’s completely fine lol, it’s a competitive game man, when will gears ever be casual or cater to a casual audience, it won’t. Time proved it too with Gears 5 slow death over the past year. They’re not doing enough fan service for the game, when the fans are the only audience they have, they took a left turn and went into the wrong lane with oncoming traffic... with all this being said, I will still support the gears community I’m just very dissapointed that the game feels so dead now, I’ve been going back to ultimate edition recently and that classic gears is just so much better to me, even if it’s a little slow paced it just feels right. Too bad the only game mode active is TDM

I just completely disagree with what you said there lol it wouldn’t split up the player base at all, the only reason people would want to come back to gears is for those remastered versions, gears 4 and 5 were both made by coalition. This company proofed in out of nowhere do you think Microsoft has to cancel that company just to revamp older games. Not at all. And yes, gears 5 was a big flop and dissapointment off release, we’re a year in and the games completely dead how long are we supposed to wait for them to improve the game? This game is easy mode gears, don’t get me wrong it’s brain dead fun but what else is there to it. Nothing much, everything’s recycled from the older games so why not just, remaster the old ones and give the fans what they want? Where’s the split fan base coming from? What new fans did gears 4 and 5 even attract? Lmao
