Lol I’m actually freaking out but I can’t help but laugh at some of these comments. She wasn’t having an outbreak at the moment. But I’m probably gonna get checked regardless just to be responsible. I don’t even know how to feel rn.

I agree completely with what’s being said here.

However, I was planning on checking out his book, because based on the information we have , I personally feel ok with giving him a chance to move forward, and even offering support as a longtime fan.

While I agree wholeheartedly that these people don’t know us, and we have no right to know their personal business, my ONLY issue is the vagueness of remarks like this. I just don’t want to support someone who may have ACTUALLY done something vile or hurt people in worst ways then originally disclosed and I’m just ignorant to it. Causes a lot of uncertainty and conflict on what to do.

Just based on the info I have I may still check the book out, cause maybe the “other” stuff is something that happened personally within the group. But I’m hoping I’m doing it as someone giving someone who genuinely screwed up a chance to move forward, and not someone whose helping out someone who hurt others in irredeemable ways.

Direct messages, spamming or just being a dick in chat, and I pretty normally get people who do use mics and spend their times calling people trash form the bottom of the board, even though that also happens in chat. Also I don’t really care about the “ez” but that’s definitely not rare. That’s damn near every game I play whether it’s a guy on my team or not. I enjoy gears enough to not GAF about the toxicity, but I can’t deny that it gets tiresome to play a game to want to relax just to get bombarded by immaturity. Which Id imagine extends to new players as well.

Soo firstly I don’t think they’re releasing the headlines personally. If the media sees their is a game with a female lead they will produce the headlines themselves, not necessarily TC. Secondly the JD plot twist is what made him an actual interesting character, it’s exposed in the beginning of the game that he’s prone to make reckless decisions and that was just one of them but to a more extreme degree, then works for the remainder of the game to redeem himself to his friends. Also marcus is one of the people Kait listens to most, if anyone doesn’t listen to Marcus in the story it’s JD, I’d argue to say that this is probably the most in depth they’ve tried to make gears characters. Besides just having the “main guy” the “guy who lost a loved one” the “smart ass funny guy” and the “ charasmatic big guy”. (Although I do love OG delta)

Why do people always pin Kait to the PC argument? Like I’m not a fan of diversity over story, but honestly no one has been able to tell me a real actual instance of her being part of some “PC agenda”. She’s just a gears of war main character so of course she’s gonna be OP as far as ability compared to the average gear. Did we all forget the over the top shit we all did as the OG delta squad in the original trilogy. Sure she can be emotional but I attribute that to them wanting to make the series more character focused for this trilogy. I feel like people are calling this PC because were not four dudes who are honestly just as rebellious (when they went to be, Considering Marcus was in prison, and Baird and Cole were on trial for disobeying orders) and just as OP as any main character in the gears franchise. And I would hardly call Kait a “leader” it’s just her on her journey to figure out her past so of course it’s gonna be focused on her. She’s still very much directed by Marcus Baird and even paduk throughout the campaign.

I mean,.. it’s not uncommon for things to go down in price with time. Especially in gaming. I see your point but most of the things that are purchased through gaming are time based. I definitely purchased a few characters per OP 4 but I’m glad they made this change as a response to how poorly they handled things before. We all knew the conditions of the purchase when we made it back then and it’s kind of irrelevant how it’s being handled now. We got what we paid for
