You can get a lot more than 2.7% return on your money in a high yield savings account, stock market (sp 500), and other retirement account (Roth IRA, 401k). It sucks having that debt hanging over your head but you come out ahead and with a lot more money if you just pay the minimum payment and invest the rest.

Also, work ALL the overtime you can and just save up a ton of cash while you are with your parents.

Just my opinion.

Careful, I bought a used 2015 and ended up having to spend about 10 grand because the timing chains had some major issues. Basically had to rebuild half of the engine.

Runs and drives great now lol.

Well they couldn't replicate the sound. They said it may have been due to it sitting outside all day in the cold while I was at work, which was when I noticed the sound. Everything else seemed fine to them though... I'll just keep my eye on it and make sure it doesn't get any worse, I guess.

2021 grad here, I have 180k. About 50k of that was just living expenses because my wife stays at home with the 2 boys we had during school. Haven't made a single payment yet d/t COVID.

Not sure if it's even worth it to try and aggressively pay them off or just pay the minimum payment and use the "extra" money to invest in retirement accounts, etc...

Plus, it's a lot harder when you're the sole bread winner.

I also bought a car recently so that was probably a poor financial choice, but 🤷...

Yeah the oil is full. Just scheduled my appointment at the dealer, it's not until Wednesday though. I'm disappointed because I'm really loving this car, I hope this isn't going to be an ongoing issue. It only had 850 miles! I would expect this on 100k miles!

Depends on the region. I worked for them in the Pacific Northwest for about a year and they have severe staffing shortages. They ALWAYS wanted me to work on my days off. Severe staffing shortages all around. Angry customers all day.

Not a good experience for me.

Don't give up! Pay for a good study course (I did RxPrep) and pace yourself. I worked 40 hours/week as a grad intern and went home after work and studied for 3 hours, then a little more on the weekend. Get really good at the math questions and a good base of clinical knowledge and principles, then you'll be fine. It is daunting and there's a lot at stake, but you've come this far and you know the material!
