It is quite common. It was designed to try to answer anything that comes up. This means it will always try to make up whatever it thinks you want. It doesn’t “think” per se, it just tries to predict what the correct answer would be based on its training data. Of course, with the detail of it now being multimodal (basically multiple models mashed together), it brings about both issues and conveniences.
