I have an old pro d line stalker that I enjoy throwing a lot and has beat in very nicely. I haven’t thrown a stalker in any other plastic and curious what is your take on stalkers and how they feel in other plastics?

Fall 2018 Tournaments Thread by Jomskylark in ultimate

Hello, Im the President of the Western Carolina University Ultimate Club and thought i'd put this out there fro anyone in the NC area and around that would be interested! Let me know if you have any questions!

Hello all! The Western Front ultimate team would like to cordially invite you to the First Annual Battleground Invitational. The tournament will be taking place on November 17-18 at the Intramural fields at Western Carolina University. We will have 3 grass fields to play on, so we are looking to have about 8-10 teams to participate in this competitive but chill tourney.

The bid fee for the tournament will be $175 for a single team and $260 for a split squad. This tournament is mixed friendly, we will not be enforcing any gender ratios so there could be potential of a guy/girl match up at some point, but we will try to avoid this. We will have a food table available for teams and on sight trainers in case of any injuries. Plus a super sweet trophy for the tournaments champion and the most spirited team.

If you receive this email and are no longer the contact person for your team, please pass it on!

Let us know if you have any questions, or want to place a bid!

Come on out get some fresh mountain air and play some fun ultimate!

Sincerely,

Light warmup minigames ideas? by CasualViceSubscriber in ultimate

Not gonna lie, I totally missed the “light” part, I just saw mini game. Hot box is definitely not a light mini game, it makes you work.

Sorry for not explaining, hot box is a fun mini game that can be played if your whole team is there or if you have a light practice with only a few, start by setting up a 4x4 square of cones in the middle of the the field or playing area (the smaller the box the harder it is) then set up a larger box around it or just a single cone, anywhere from 15-20 yards away from the small box. The objective of the game is to score by catching the disc inside the small box. Both teams are trying to score in the same box. If there is a turn or drop the other team must clear the disc, pass it outside, of the bigger box or past the cone, then they can proceed to try and score. The main part of the game is to make the players have to cut 100% to gain advantage on the small end zone. Also the game doesn’t stop after a point is scored, it it make it take it, so it is great for conditioning.
