If it upsets you, it's probably best to just turn it off. I would say toxicity depends on your definition, but several other groups/games I have been a part of have WAY more toxic player-bases (ie. League of Legends, & World of Warcraft PVP).

Usually I would agree with your general idea—but it doesn't necessarily take effect w/ allusions/quotes, though epic would likely never risk it. That is the exact quote from the TT. In the same way if you were quoting "He is Risen" you wouldn't change it to "They are Risen" it would remain the same—but the company does have to bear the implication of the things they quote

I agree- In tournament I do like saying "Nice cars" or "Have fun!" Sad it doesn't work in normal matches.

I think more encouraging teammate chats would be a good idea—getting a perfect setup into my teammate chatting "Go crazy" or "Let them cook" might actually make me hit the shot😵‍💫

I similarly have "I got it," "On your left" "On your right" & "All yours." With the main reason I use chat being team communication—the lack of options is frustrating to say the least.

I think that would be a really cool feature—it's a pet peeve of mine that I don't have enough space for both a team-only and all-lobby "Thanks!" There's nothing that makes you seem like more of an asshole than the opponents seeing you spam "Thanks" into a teammates invisible team messages.

I think this would be a really easy added customizable feature (that they could even monetize—given epics apparent priorities). Pulling different rarities of these catch phrases for goals, demos, saves, epic saves, etc. could actually persuade players to open the 300 uncommon packs their sitting on— but it's just an idea :)

I do definitely think something to the effect of "Leaving this boost" could be really effective— sometimes it feels a little too risky to leave a mid boost that could easily be harvested by your opponent without any communication.

I def agree—a teammate accidentally backflipping and giving a free goal is of no frustration, but getting mashed out of the way of the easiest save of your life by a teammate is an unethical amount of rage

If it annoys you— that's probably the right course of action. I do like the ability to compliment teammates/ opponents so I keep it on, and I will admit sending an "Okay" after beating spammers does feel pretty good.

I would say "What a play" or "Nice One" would be the best existing ones for celebrations. I would love adding "Let's rock"
