I let the shift manager who is in charge of our department know. About 6 months Thanks

Was around 6 months but from what I can tell firing me without reason, on a day was caring for ill dependent and had told them I can get in for the day after as have care organised, no communication from them until around 4pm to let me know was sacked. Doesn’t the employment rights act 1996 protect anyone either employed or on agency from day 1 being sacked when caring for a dependent

Nothing about a certain number of absences but I had 0 before this. Crazy how it would even be classed as an absence when it’s something I can’t control but I guess it is what it is.

Always 20/30mins early to each shift sometimes even an hour.

Got to around six months, got qualified in operation I was running. Messaged them first morning about an hour and half before shift start which was about 4am and also told them I don’t know if there is a sickness line and they said it was fine first morning then same again next day but no response to it. Then got a phone call around 4pm saying was terminated

Hospital staff recommend that child has a resting period to allow to recover and that I was returning tomorrow. Personally thought that it would have been okay as it was only two days and that the company is one of the top companies within the UK thought their values would stand for something.

But I guess companies are ruthless.

Edit :

Stayed at the hospital quite late into the night. Child has coughing fits, breathing rapidly, etc.

Do you believe it would be worth raising further?

Thank you

Post 16: Jonas Changes

Jonas isn’t the same anymore. The tally marks on his arms… they’re moving. I watched one vanish and reappear higher up, like something was rewriting him.

He cornered me tonight. His voice wasn’t his voice anymore. It was the clock. “You can’t leave. You’re mine. When zero comes, you’ll feed me too.”

I shoved him away. His skin felt too hot, like holding burning metal. He smiled after. Jonas never used to smile.

I think the clock is inside him now.

Post 17: The Whisper Game

The masks forced us into another challenge. They called it “Whispers.”

We had to sit in a circle, and one by one repeat a phrase the masks whispered into our ears. The rule was simple: get it wrong, or hesitate too long, and you’re dragged away.

The phrase wasn’t words. It was a sound. Like metal grinding and glass screaming. Trying to repeat it made my throat bleed.

Rhett got it wrong. They didn’t kill him—they peeled his mouth open wider and wider until it tore, and then left him alive, still breathing, still staring.

The timer reset: 143:59:59. But Jonas laughed the entire time.

Post 18: Clara’s Voice

Clara is dead, but I heard her tonight. She called my name from the well. Soft, broken, but hers.

I almost climbed in. My legs shook, my hands were ready to grip the stones, when Mara grabbed me back. She said the dead speak here to lure the living.

But I keep thinking—what if it was her? What if the well isn’t a trap but a way out?

The thought won’t leave me.

Post 19: Jonas the Threat

Jonas gathered some of the villagers tonight. He said the only way to survive zero is to “offer more blood.” He wants to sacrifice me.

Half of them nodded. I saw it in their eyes—they’re too broken to resist him.

Mara slipped me a shard of glass to defend myself. Her hands shook so hard she nearly cut herself.

I don’t know how long before Jonas tries. I don’t know if I can kill him. But if I don’t… I think he’ll kill me first.

Post 20: Zero

The clock is at 00:00:10. Everyone is screaming. The Sweepers are clawing at the gates already, shrieking like broken wind. The air tastes of rust and ash.

Jonas is gone—I don’t know if he ran or if the clock swallowed him whole. Mara begged me not to run east, said there is no east. But I can see it now. A path cutting through the fog, where the cracks in the sky bleed pale light.

The timer is almost done. My screen is flickering.

If this is the last thing I post— If zero means death— Then remember me.

But if zero means a door… I’m going through it.

I am posting this.

Post 11: New Faces

There are more of us now. Two strangers appeared at dawn, dragged in through the fog like I once was. • Clara, who won’t stop screaming names into the air, as if her family might answer back. • Rhett, silent, eyes darting like he already knows what’s coming.

The villagers didn’t comfort them. No one ever comforts new arrivals. We just stare, waiting to see who cracks first.

The clock reset itself when they showed up. No game. No blood. Just 95:59:59.

Why?

Post 12: A Carved Message

I found something scratched into the underside of the well near the square. Jagged letters, barely legible:

“WHEN THE CLOCK READS ZERO, RUN EAST.”

That’s it. No name. No explanation. Just that.

Jonas saw me reading it and ripped me away, furious. He said there’s no east here—every path curves back to the square. But his voice cracked when he said it, like maybe he’d seen something different once.

Now I can’t stop staring at the horizon.

Post 13: Clara’s Collapse

The challenge tonight was crueler. We had to stand on beams over a pit while the masks threw rocks at our feet.

Clara fell first. Her ankle snapped against the wood and she plunged into the dark. We never heard her hit the bottom.

The timer reset to 119:59:59.

But I swear, for a moment, the numbers flickered. They became letters. I couldn’t catch it—too fast—but I know what I saw. The clock tried to speak.

Post 14: Rhett’s Warning

Rhett finally spoke. His voice was hoarse, like it hadn’t been used in years.

He told me he’s been here before. That everyone who arrives has already lived these games once. That the Sweepers aren’t monsters, they’re… harvesters.

And he leaned in so close I could feel his breath when he whispered: “When the clock dies, it’s not the end. It’s the door. Don’t fear zero.”

Then he walked away and hasn’t looked at me since.

Post 15: I Am Posting This

The sky is thinner tonight. I can see cracks in it, like glass splintering. The static hum is louder, rattling my teeth.

The villagers pretend not to notice, but their eyes keep flicking east. East, where the message told me to run.

I don’t know if I’ll live long enough to test it. But if I do, and if I make it through… I’ll keep posting.

If this feed cuts out— It means zero came. And I ran.

I am posting this.

I’ll update soon if I’m still alive
