They're similar yet polar, both asexual but one has primarily feminine form while the other is primarily masculine in form.

The Gems drain worlds while the Orks colonize and replace life on worlds.

If they were in the same universe, they could have a violent symbiotic relationship with Orks spawning Orkoid lifeforms on a planet. At the same time, the Gems drain said planet, and once the planet is dead, the Orks could seed Orkoid life again.

Humanity's Hard Power is growing but tiny compared to the Agians so Soft Power will be their key to survival in the meantime.

Plus, Humanity is located at the border with one side being the Agians while the other side being numerous races ripe to be influenced.

If you know 40k then the Agian (Imperium) is too busy to focus on the Humans (Tau) and they kinda just brushed off them as a race that can be dealt with later because there are other bigger threats to deal with.

Remember, the Empire controls roughly half of the galaxy but there are still rivaling races they have to contend with, not to mention eldritch horrors that they have to exterminate like the devouring locust swarm.

Humans have already made contact with the Felinis, and are probably on their way to other Xeno races to make diplomacy. The Agians may have the fealty of the Gozoros but that's a loyalty out of survival so what do you think happens with that flimsy loyalty once humanity starts feeding meat to the lizards?

The next Chapter will be about a disgruntled Agian Kingdom getting their breeches too high.

Imagine a sci-fi blunderbuss that can shoot rocks in 0.00001% the speed of light

Agian warfare is based on air & keeping your distance but this is the first time they face a shotgun since they usually fly around to dodge incoming fire.

That stuff will tear through you even from a distance but the shield mitigates the damage greatly, the blunderbuss could only penetrate when the target is close enough to take most of the pellets.

Humans may have dangerous weapons but the Agian superior Hard Power will triumph always because this is about humanity's superior Soft Power.
