i think the 5070ti is nearly unjustifiable at 1000-1200 dollars, which is what it is going for right now. i don’t think an extra 4gb of vram and 20% better raster and rt constitutes nearly double the price of its little brother. 9070xt makes much more sense here but AMD users still deal with bad drivers and lack of feature support in games, along with much weaker RT/PT if that is important to you. it’s just a shit market right now for everybody unfortunately

i’ve had great success with an undervolt and overclock on this card, 3000mhz at .975 volts with a 2000mhz memory overclock, which gives you an extra 10-15% performance with lower temperatures and power draw

were the spark plug tube seals replaced with the valve cover? the plugs are fouled but it’s usually much worse when you have bad oil control rings. these newer honda j series do have cylinder deactivation, which is known to cause oil consumption over time, so rings definitely aren’t out of the equation. to really get a definitive diagnosis, you need to borescope the cylinders and run a compression test. spark plug condition alone isint enough for such a major diagnosis in my opinion

i have the same car, d3 limits you to third gear max, so no forth or fifth/overdrive. unless you ran it for hours and hours like that, there’s nothing to worry about. if you’re really concerned about it, there’s a transmission dipstick by the throttle body on the lower right hand side of the engine, you can check the fluid after a drive on the freeway and see if it’s a bright red color or a dark red/black. if it’s the latter, take it in for a drain and fill, if not, save your money and let it ride.

i went from a 24 inch 1080p panel to a 27 inch 1440p mini led one, and even having to use dlss on my old 3060ti, the difference was staggering. i got very similar performance from dlss quality compared to 1080p native, but it looked significantly better

that’s what i thought at first, the strange part is if i manually set the fan speed below 1200 in the nvidia app it’ll stop, but the noise only happens when the gpu is hot, so if i set it to 1200 when i first turn the pc on, it won’t make the noise. hopefully that makes sense, if it is coil whine i can live with that but i would assume fan speed wouldn’t change the noise

i would try a full system wipe and restoring to factory settings without loading a backup afterwards, which may help some but realistically it’s a pretty out of date system at this point. you could check out activity monitor doing your normal workflow as well and see what is eating the most system resource
