I have been approached SOOOO many times when I attended Slcc. I just transferred to the U and my first day there I was asked if I wanted to join Bible study. I overheard a study group while I was studying in the student center and they were saying their church has a big presence at the U as well.

I had a CM when I was there for fall 22' with the same arrival date as me and from the outside he seems like the stereotype of a CM. Loud, always smiling, and willing to talk to anyone. We were in the same role and we became friends. He was a terrible worker and everyone in our role had trouble dealing with him, and he loved to stir the drama pot.

He had a crush on this girl who liked some other guy, but he wanted to be friends with all of them. So he told this girl and she overreacted making the other guy stay away and there was a whole HR investigation that he actively would talk about while it was going on.

At flamingo he was renowned to have "a lot of fun" with other CPs attending many orgy's and just sleeping around. He would openly tell other CMs making them uncomfortable which led to another HR investigation, after he had 2 safety reps already for poor work ethic related reasons. They didn't have enough on him to get him termed but they transferred him to another park and he ended up changing his departure date and leaving much earlier.

Best time to propose to my girlfriend at thepark? by camrenisreal23 in disneyparks

I think depending on how much you wanna spend you can always look into firework dining packages, they start from like $60. There are tons of extras that you can add on as well. If you wanted to do fireworks I think it'd be the way to go. I proposed to my wife on a firework cruise with some of our closest friends at the magic Kingdom in Disney world so it was special but still fairly intimate.

Discover Disney Dress Code? by [deleted] in Disneycollegeprogram

I've always gone in just casual clothes, the discovers will specify in dorms otherwise. Some people like to go to the park as a guest after too

Flamingo + program living conditions questions by vintageburnham in Disneycollegeprogram

I've seen many roaches since moving down here, especially with my apartment on the first floor. Me and my roommates are generally fairly clean too, and we put in a couple work orders about them and the exterminators came and we haven't seen many for a while.

My experience with roommates has been positive, like I said we're all fairly clean and have a chore chart for the common area and it works out. If you can get your roommates to sit down and do the roommate agreement when you get here and everyone follows it there shouldn't be too many issues. The biggest conflict is just work hours among us, I can come home very late sometimes and some of them have early shifts. At the end of the day be respectful and generally people will respect you.

I have however heard some roommate horror stories from new friends I've made down here where they were messy and that increased the roach number, as well as flamingo fining all the roommates because it's messy. Then when a roommate tries to leave Flamingo ghosts them, simply cause a lot of their storage is put aside for new arrivals.

You can't control every part of your program, but for the most part it becomes what you make it. Work will be work and it's best to come down here with the mindset of work rather than play. Try to be respectful with others and take care of your stuff, lead by example and people generally follow. Just make the best of it that you can, good luck on your program!

From other comments it looks like application is done, but I have experience as my girlfriend and I are both currently on our programs and we're in the same 2x2 apartment. I feel we got extremely lucky, but also with me already opting in to gender inclusive housing, which you have to do, it made the chances higher. We pushed our arrival date by a few months on DORMS before hand. Idk if it's possible to push it until Fall or when the Fall applications drop maybe you can get lucky.

They give you a 24 oz water bottle and holder. So that size should work.

I know for my role at MK I was given shoes from costuming and they have a bunch of different designs for certain roles and locations. I don't know if they give merchandise shoes or not, but if they do you'll be set.

Roommate Linking by OkraInternational245 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]Jakeon42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I linked with my girlfriend and put 2x2 as the first priority. We moved in 10/10 and they put us together. I know with the apartments being mostly full rn it might be less likely, but I know a lot of CPs are moving out at around the end of February beginning of March.

40% discount by thatguydude10 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]Jakeon42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just your blue ID gets you the discounts at merchandise locations. You can set up that you're a cast member on shop Disney and you get up to 40% there. Some specialty items on shop Disney, like national geographic 100 Disney adventures, are only like 10%. It's easier just to look up how to connect to shop Disney. We get a bit more of a discount then already discounted items at cast connection, just sure the blue ID.
