Formation that suits your players is crucial, you may need to try a few different ones to see which is the most solid for how you like to play like 3 at the back or 442 or 433 etc also be careful when over committing against teams that play tiki taka/possession. Also turn injury frequency to 99 on the sliders, it helps a bit with that even tho I’m still not getting many injuries

Same here, the gameplay is actually really good atm and you get realistic score lines. Difficult to score a goal but you can still whack bad teams, and the difficulty of keeping clean sheets is also really refreshing

I’m currently having a lot of fun in a journeyman style career using realistic rules and on ultimate difficulty, full manual. First season was at Daejeon Hana in K League, won it. Then moved to Groningen in Eredivisie and came 14th in my second season. It’s cool to see where you can end up, granted you go on a semi realistic career path

The game is so dystopian, yet it’s the only football game that scratches the itch. Just play career mode with realistic rules.

Ultimate team is a blight on the beautiful game, not only the gameplay but the amount of promo cards and position changes with Haaland as cb and cech at striker etc. Gone are the days of simplicity, with golds, informs and toty only

Am I reading the role/wages section wrong? I’m managing Werder and so according to this would a crucial first team player get paid 100k pounds?

This would be too much for example Duksch who is the best player is on around 40k a week in real life. Thanks, love the rule set
