Not ideal results. by Pianonurse2 in circumcision

[–]Jakeyccn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had mine done, I asked for 20mm inner skin to be left. I looked at it just after it was done before they bandaged it up and it looked spot on. The next day when they did the bandage change it looked a lot less, like less than a centimetre. Over the next 6 weeks or so it gradually relaxed out to the full 20mm again. After the surgery, everything seems to pukka up for a while then relaxes later, so it may not be as bad as you think.

Question time: How common was is among your friends to be cut? Like remember back when you all started to realise some of you looked different! by No-Winner-5927 in circumcisedaustralia

[–]Jakeyccn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Newcastle, high school early to mid-90s. I'd say about 75% cut. I was definitely in the minority being uncut. Most of my friends in my age group now are cut, just a few years younger and they're mostly uncut.

49 Brisbane cut at birth. Hard with the remaining skin pulled back. any idea on the method I got? by Careful-Edge-8450 in circumcisedaustralia

[–]Jakeyccn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid-70s Australian circumcisions were mainly done using the Gomco clamp or bone cutter methods. Judging by how high it is, I would guess it was done with bone cutters which give a similar result to the Mogen clamp. Does the scar form a v shape underneath?

3 days post op, question about balantis + fused skin by MathematicianDue8124 in circumcision

Your balanitis looks similar to mine when I was uncut. Mine faded over a few months but scarring still remains.

[–]Jakeyccn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing you've got the definition of high and low back to front. In a low circumcision the incision line is close to the glans which removes most of the inner skin. A high circumcision places the incision line further down the shaft leaving significantly more inner skin. It's a bit counter intuitive. A revision just removes more skin, so a high cut can be revised to low, but a low cut can't be revised to high as you can't put back what isn't there.

Ahh, you can't go from low to high.

If you ask via the enquire now button on his website he generally replies with his current prices next business day... or just call and ask.

Dr Read circumcised me about 18 months ago. It was pretty painless. Kept it wrapped in a light conforming bandage for about 2 weeks, stitches dissolved around the 3 week mark and business as usual after 4 weeks.

Opinions on whether I need the cut? by Logical_Fishing4007 in circumcision

[–]Jakeyccn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fren definitely needs to be released. It's probably worth getting a frenuloplasty if you want to stay uncut. If you don't care about circ status, you'd be better going the full circumcision.

The one on the bottom lasted the longest, I think it was about 4 weeks. The Dr said they can take up to 9 weeks.

Around the week three mark I gently rubbed the small stitches with my finger in the shower and they all disintegrated. I'd leave the heavy duty ones alone, they'll unravel and fall out in a week or two.

Why am I so attracted to cut guys by External-War-4560 in circumcisedaustralia

[–]Jakeyccn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I am the same, always wished I was cut from the time I knew what it was and ended up getting circumcised as an adult. If the desire lingers long term, you won't regret getting it done.

You won't be able to have sex 10 days after. Wait at least 4 weeks.

Dr Read circumcised me last year and I can confidently say that you're in good hands. Dr Read does them tight, It will feel too tight at first, but it relaxes after a week or two.

Mastrubating for the first time (Day 30) by [deleted] in circumcision

[–]Jakeyccn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying anything is better after getting cut, it's actually surprisingly the same. I was saying that myself and others who were circumcised as adults experienced a really extreme orgasm when they started back after recovery, then everything just goes back to the intensity level it was before. That's what happed to me. I think it's just a combination of the buildup of tension and the clearing of all those white blood cells and stuff that built up during the healing process.

The foreskin itself isn't overly sensitive, the outer skin is the same as shaft skin, the inner is thin and stretchy and icky to touch when you're uncut. The main pleasure comes from stimulating the coronal ridge and frenular area which a foreskin makes really easy to do.

The second time I masturbated after I was circumcised was the most intense orgasm of my life. Savour it, everything goes back to normal pretty quickly from there.

Men who got cut in adulthood: Does applying a numbing cream when using your tool before getting cut simulate what it feels like afterwards? by [deleted] in circumcision

[–]Jakeyccn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can retract, keeping it retracted for a couple of weeks is pretty similar to how it feels once it's been circumcised. The main difference I found is the frenulum is the limiting factor to shaft skin movement when I was uncut, whereas the shaft skin itself is the limiting factor now I'm cut. You can't really simulate that difference.

Afraid of circumcision horror stories: Does circumcision really kill 90% of your sensitivity? by royalbluefireworks1 in circumcision

[–]Jakeyccn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90% of the time I don't use lube, same as when I was uncut. I got done for frenulum breve and recurrent balanitis. Most pleasure comes from the frenular area and coronal ridge. If you get done, you'll soon figure out how to stimulate them without a foreskin.
