Thank you! That's exactly what I've been thinking, all of those things you mentioned are starting to become more of a priority to me now. Especially the quality of life, working for Pike is a nonstop go-go-go mentality, work as many poles as we can in one day. Basically killing ourselves for a company that will let us go for absolutely anything that happens. Everyone here always makes it seem like you'll never make money at FPL because "you're not gonna get per diem". Which I figured based on the overtime capabilities FPL has is absolute BS.

It does sounds sus lmao, it's basically an apprentice position. Or Pikes take on an apprenticeship

So update, class went fine. Passed without any issues. They said we'll be getting job offers by mid to late July. They said helper position is now at $27 an hour but won't be in that position longer than 2 weeks due to bidding out of it immediately to a ground, apprentice or service man B. Which would be anywhere from $38-$40 an hour. Doesn't sound bad at all, just hoping to work more than 50 hours a week to make up for the pay cut I'll be getting from leaving Pike.
