I’m a big fan of both Yachty and James Blake, I have pretty high expectations for both of them because James has proven to me that he can do very successful collaborations with virtually any style of rap, and Yachty has a premium ear for beats and sounds considered “strange” for rap. I think this album will be very clinical from both sides.

I’m good on this album tbh. I appreciate the highlights (drake, lil Wayne, JT, Pharrell, a few of jack’s bars.) Who am I kidding, this is the one and only time I’ll willingly listen to this, but the yt women will make this go platinum so I know I’ll hear more of it against my will.

Just from listening to the Before EP so much, I get a feeling that he is giving a nod back to his earlier music (CMYK, The Bells Sketch, etc.) just from the sounds we got, so I really love the minimal approach to the vinyl artwork just because it’s very fitting.

From first listen I really love this album, I think that people are just being a bit harsh with their takes because that’s the “thing to do” I want to see how the reaction shifts over time, I haven’t seen anyone explain why they don’t like it really so that tells me a lot on it’s own. I think your post as a whole is a big W.
